We have done this bit before but it ALWAYS brings some interesting phone calls. I bring this up because of something that happened Friday. One of my bartenders was taking down some decorations from the Kellie party. There was a big “KELLIE” sign that was on the mirror behind the bar. And since the party was over, he took it upon himself to take the sign down. It probably would have been a great idea to take down the liquor off of the top shelf but, ,oh well. I’m sure you know where this is going. As he was taking the sign off the mirror, he knocked over a bottle. The good news is, he only knocked over one bottle. But the bad news is that the bottle was Louis XIII. This is BY FAR, the most expensive bottle of liquor in the house! The wholesale price is over $2500.

I wasn’t there at the time. So when I pulled up, the bartender was waiting at the valet stand outside. He walked up to my truck as I backed in. He said, “I hate to hit you with this as you are driving up but I have to tell you something.”
So, he told me the story. I’m sure he expected me to be super angry but I know it was an accident. And even though I was upset that it happens, I couldn’t be mad at him. He manned up and told me what happened. So, Let’s call today, “Man Up Monday!”
