Big Al’s Blog: Super Vacation Stories

A super vacation should have plenty of Super Stories, right?

Well, lets start with Kellie’s wedding. How great was it? It was pretty awesome. My speech was not eventful at all and that was mainly because the guy that gave his speech right before me was Spectacular. I mean he KILLED it. He had stories, a Love Letter to Kellie, He had jokes, funny lines, and he was charming and witty… And I was immediately after him. By the time his speech was over, I had totally abandoned anything that I was planning to say… There was no way I could Out-Funny his speech so I thought it would be best if I didn’t really go THERE! Really, I wanted to just go sit down and have another cocktail. So, I basically gave a short and sweet speech wishing them well.

Then it was time for my solo trip to Mexico. And as soon as I walked to the desk to check in, there’s Kinsey and J-Si. I had no idea we were on the same flight. That was the most exciting part of my trip. It’s not that my trip was bad. It was AWESOME! It’s just that I just laid in bed until 11am EVERYDAY. I NEVER DO THAT. I watched more episodes of Law and Order than ever before. Then I would get up and go eat a bite or two and after a few hours of eating and drinking, it was back to the room for a little more TV and rest. I truly did some serious R and R.

I did check out my old bar, The Beer Bucket and I have to say: the new owner that just took over the bar 2 months ago has done a great job. The place looks awesome. They have expanded it and done things that were even beyond what I wanted to do when I owned it. And the new owner… He is not the person that is responsible for the ownership change that pushed me out so I can’t be mad at him. Those folks are long gone! And being mad doesn’t accomplish anything anyway…So, I told the new owner how great the placed looked and I wished him well.
