Family struggling after dad diagnosed with Leukemia

Dear Christmas Wish,

I would like to nominate a 3rd grade teacher, wife, mother of three. My friend’s life changed last month. At 31, her husband Nick was diagnosed with Leukemia. Once admitted, within days things got worse. He was moved to the ICU, where he remains and is very weak and has lost some function of his extremities. She stays by his side most nights. She’s used up all her vacation, and is now unpaid. The kids haven’t seen their daddy since he got sick. It’s also hard because kids carry sickness so she has to limit her exposure to be at the hospital. I want these kids to have a good Christmas. I want them to have their daddy/mom back …but I also want this family to know that people love, support them, and want to help.Love u guys, thanks for all you do!
