I miss the old show.
I don't mean that I am not enjoying the new Freddy buzz. I love that we are getting to be part of someone's dream coming true, and he's really talented. His song lyrics are CLEAN (at least those I've heard so far) and that is special to me. I teach young children, and what is passed off as "music" these days is often vile. In any case, I think he's got a great career ahead of him, and once again you bring out the best in someone.
But I digress... What I miss the most is Kellie's Diary being read by Kidd in that awful, altered South Carolina accent. I know she has her blog, and I read it every day, but it just isn't the same. I actually love reading all of the blogs: JC's makes me laugh, Al's is usally entertaining, although I often feel sorry for him. I think Dianthe is a world-class blogger and Shanon's always got something interesting to say.
But I can do without Kellie's Diary, and get by reading her blog. The thing that I just don't understand is why the show feels the need to play those opening bits that are from the show the day before. I listen to the show from 5-7:30 each day, and that means I listen to the Kidd Kraddick Warm Up Show. So when I have to hear what Al (or any of the other cast members) said the day before 3 times total, it gets really boring, and NOT FUNNY. And don't forget - if the bit is replayed on the "Best Of" shows on all those LONG weeks that the show takes vacation 4 weeks a year plus the scattered days off in between, that means hearing it all AGAIN!
Come on Kidd - I have a feeling that if you took a poll of your listeners, there might be more than a few who find the repetiveness is making the show "stale" at best. We love you guys and we need fresh, new conversation between the shows members. That's the reason we havae come to love the show as we do.
Please stop trying to make the show evolve into something your fans don't recognize anymore!! We love you guys and just don't want leftovers!!! "Fresh" doesn't always mean unrecognizable.
