Kiddnation

I miss the old show.

I don't mean that I am not enjoying the new Freddy buzz. I love that we are getting to be part of someone's dream coming true, and he's really talented. His song lyrics are CLEAN (at least those I've heard so far) and that is special to me. I teach young children, and what is passed off as "music" these days is often vile. In any case, I think he's got a great career ahead of him, and once again you bring out the best in someone.

But I digress... What I miss the most is Kellie's Diary being read by Kidd in that awful, altered South Carolina accent. I know she has her blog, and I read it every day, but it just isn't the same. I actually love reading all of the blogs: JC's makes me laugh, Al's is usally entertaining, although I often feel sorry for him. I think Dianthe is a world-class blogger and Shanon's always got something interesting to say.

But I can do without Kellie's Diary, and get by reading her blog. The thing that I just don't understand is why the show feels the need to play those opening bits that are from the show the day before. I listen to the show from 5-7:30 each day, and that means I listen to the Kidd Kraddick Warm Up Show. So when I have to hear what Al (or any of the other cast members) said the day before 3 times total, it gets really boring, and NOT FUNNY. And don't forget - if the bit is replayed on the "Best Of" shows on all those LONG weeks that the show takes vacation 4 weeks a year plus the scattered days off in between, that means hearing it all AGAIN!

Come on Kidd - I have a feeling that if you took a poll of your listeners, there might be more than a few who find the repetiveness is making the show "stale" at best. We love you guys and we need fresh, new conversation between the shows members. That's the reason we havae come to love the show as we do.

Please stop trying to make the show evolve into something your fans don't recognize anymore!! We love you guys and just don't want leftovers!!! "Fresh" doesn't always mean unrecognizable.

Eloquently said. It's almost as if KKITM is going the way of LA Law, The Cosby Show, and ER. All were once great shows that got stale and began to "crusade" rather than entertain.

Thanks Nick. What made me love the show seems to have left the building...

I completely agree with you. I'm so sick of hearing the same "bit" or excerpts over and over. I've listened for several years and it seems this is happening more frequently. As for Freddy, please, please remember, more is less. Not only do we have to listen to this daily (and a really large part of the show!) but we have the RECAPS of the past days!!. And, there is really nothing entertaining about "music you've never heard of" either.

I really want to hear the chit chat between the hosts and the "comedy" that ensues from everyday occurences.

I've been a listener for 3 years and I like the evolution it takes. The old show is just that. I think current and future is more idea of fun. Kidd's show is a thinking and evolving show. I really love Music that makes you Cooler. That was not around 2 years ago. I think thats great. I've added more music to my collection in that last year then the 3 years prior. I think Kidd is giving us a great show. I don't care about the bits I like the interation of the members and I find that the warm up show misses the point. I like the randomness of Kidd. If anything the warmup show should be rethought.

I agree with you...I have quit listening for the past couple of weeks. I am just sick of hearing about Freddie every single day on my drive to work. I really liked it at first but then I just felt like it was being forced down my throat. I think the show needs to be careful they don't turn Freddie into a joke...he really is talented and it would be unfortunate for him to be known as "that guy that was on Kidd Kraddick's show for awhile".

I'm cool with Freddy but I do believe less is more. Like how's about we get caught up with Freddy one day a week. I'd love to get back to hearing AL crying and Kelly saying "I'm Kelly Rasberry damnit" and JC rappin in the drive-thru. I love those bits which is why I started listening in the first place. I could always expect to hear something in the morning that would make me laugh and I miss that part.
