I am driving everyone crazy at work with this so I am bringing a discussion on here for the first time. I am looking into getting my eyeliner tattooed on. Thoughts?? Suggestions?? Tips?? Worth the money or not?? I do not have one single tattoo but eyeliner only stays on about 1/2 a day for me b/c my skin is so flippin' oily!

Just yesterday I was talking to our previous landlord, she had hers done and they look great! I want mine done too. She said her friend has her own business doing that and I found it interesting that her main clientel are the elderly because they can't see good to apply makeup.

Yeah?? A few people I go to church with have it and I don't know if it is b/c they can't see good or what but I despise putting eyeliner on so hopefully my sister doesn't back out and we can get it done!!! I am a little freaked about the pain but the girl I just spoke to at a parlor where one of my old tenants works said she applies the cream to numb 2 times and most only do it once. She also said if I need more in the process she would do it for me!

I have a few friends who have done it and absolutely love it. I love tats and pain does not bother me, but the idea of my eyes freaks me out. Good luck!

A good friend of mine has hers done and she likes it and I think it looks great on her. I did hear her say that she had to go get one re-done (I'm not sure how long she's had them done - maybe a couple of years?) because one faded more than another. But if you're into eyeliner, and people are used to seeing you with it on, then I suppose it's a great idea!

Liquid eye liner will remain on longer.
There is an eye liner that will last longer.
Make-up does have to be re-touched depending on the brand.
I do spend more for my make-up because it does make a difference with my skin. It is oily sometimes. :)

Aging tatoos do not look nice. The eyes are the most sensitive part of the body. I wouldn't try placing permanant ink around my eyes. I do not know how the process works for the eyes.

I think a tattoo around the eyes would last longer than other tattoos because it is more protected from the sun, right?

Well it is Nov 11th and I had the eyeliner tattoo done last night!!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! I have minimal swelling and could not have asked for a better tattoo artist. So for those that want to sit and touch up make-up all day, go for it but I don't have time for that!!

I had read a lot about the pain on the internet but it honestly did not hurt!!! I could feel it when she did the first pass but you honestly have to look for the tattoo artist to NOT be shy with using the stuff that numbs your eyes. Apparently it is very expensive so many don't want to use it past what they originally put on!! Other, when you go in a group, tend to put it on all of you at the same time and then by the time it is your turn you are dying. At times towards the end it kind of felt annoying but not anything I couldn't handle. My sister did it too and went after me. She said hers hurt a little but she can't handle people being near her eyes. I have contacts so I am constantly messing with my eyes.

Anyway, do your research and find someone that will take their time to make it look good!! My girl spent almost 2 hours on my eyes!! And numbing the area is great!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!
