Well good for you then (not meant in a sarcastic way) - I guess I'm just confused as to why you replied defensively to what I said if it didn't apply to you. If you try to take care of yourself, then you aren't the type of person I was referring to! So don't worry. :) Add it to urban dictionary and then it'll be a word ;)
i think it was more of the way you said some things that i got all defensive over. but is all good there is nothing wrong with a little healthy debate.

It's a cop-out to say everything this day and age is unhealthy so you can eat whatever you want and destroy your body. Maybe I will develop breast cancer someday, but I'll be damned if I'm not going to at least try my hardest to keep my body (and mind) healthy instead of adding to the problem because "everything is unhealthy." And for the record, it's not only a cop-out, but also untrue.
Read the government website again- you're either reading selectively or not getting it-- it's not just obesity. Just simply being overweight puts you at a higher risk for health problems. Higher risk. That's all I'm saying. I don't understand the argument there because it's a proven fact. Overlook it if you like, but I recommend you ask your doctor to clarify since you're having problems understanding.

Okay well you aren't the only one who has lived. Just because I'm 23 doesn't mean I haven't lived this or know what I'm talking about. I used to be unhealthy and overweight. I went from a size 16 to a size 6, losing 85 pounds. I'm happier than I've ever been. I know how it affects your mind AND body, because I have lived it.
And it is a cop-out. The healthiest people don't ALWAYS get breast cancer. Sometimes it happens, sure, but if YOU don't at least TRY to take care of your body, who else is going to?
And sorry, but I think a government health website has probably "been around" a little more than what you have done- even if I have only read about it. Again- cop-out. Excuse for not taking into account that a little, dumb 23-year old may know what she's talking about and have the sources to back it up.
If stuffing your face is what makes you happy in life, instead of being healthy...you have more problems than just your weight. I hope if that is the case, you get help before it's too late. And this is a general "you," not you in particular.
Anyway, as I said before, I'm going out to get some fresh air. You go on being blindly happy. Peace!

Okay, but you're generalizing too- because I didn't SAY are you happy and fat. I said you actually believe that you are fat and you like it? That's different. Please don't twist my words.
Also, I never "refused to acknowledge" that many people are at a healthy weight and miserable. Of course there are plenty of people like that. But, if you don't care enough about your body to be healthy- how can you be totally happy with your life?

im fat and not selfish enough to be unhappy about my life due to the fact that there are others with worse things to worry about in their life. get over it.
