Actually it could mean several things. The only constants in your scenario are Caroline and the number 3. You can still arrive at three by "replacing" the Kidd Kraddick variable or the Carol variable.
First we have to set the givens.
C = (A or B)
D = (A or B and 'C) or E where E is a true variable.
Caroline + C + D = 3 , where A is Kidd B, is Carol and C is another person. This makes the equation work. So you could have
Caroline + A + B = 3
Caroline + B + A = 3
Caroline + A + E = 3 ....ooooo drama is it Kellie is it Big Al who knows ;)
Caroline + B + E = 3 ....this makes me too sad to think about

I forgot to state, you cannot get too caught up on the word replacement because Kidd can come up with anything to make it fit that specific word he choose to go for with this bit to make it more compelling.

So we found out today that it was JSi who is being replaced, right? I always miss things b/c I have to head into work right whenever something REALLY interesting comes up or something I've been dying to know.
