J-Si’s Blog: My neck, my back… mostly the back.

Well, we are a few days from vacation. Normally, I would be super excited because I get to sleep in more than two days, but that was before kids. Now, I get excited that there is a possibility to sleep until 6, depending on what time my son decides to wake up. Bright side: that allows me to sleep two more hours. I am also dreading the flight with two kids.

I cannot wait for the stares from people hoping we don’t sit near them, or my son screaming that he has to go potty at the most inopportune time, or just maybe a good old-fashioned melt down complete with high-pitched screams. There are some good news, at least this trip is not to Spain. We were supposed to go out and meet up with bio dad in Spain and hit up France in the process with his fam. Spain is where his grandparents were from, so it will awesome to learn about that side of my family’s history, and France is where his wife is from, and she has her whole family there. Instead, we will be going back to San Diego, to attend my high school friend’s wedding, and just to do the rounds with my parents and her parents.

kinsey-back-problemsAnother little obstacle that we have? Kinsey has two slipped disks in her back. Yup, in was a slip one disk, get one free sale… and Kinsey’s back took advantage. She does not need surgery, which is good, but they will be giving her some shots on Tuesday. Problem is, she is having trouble picking Cason up, and depending on the day she sometimes has problems just moving around. I don’t know what the shots do, exactly, but I hope they fix it.

So, since Kinsey has back problems right now, I take Cason to everything I do. We had the Septien showcase with our very own Madison. Kellie and I did some MCing. Cason worked his magic onstage when we were announcing Madison. He marched around us in a circle, and then decided to punch me in the privates for no reason. Which is what I felt when Mexico lost to the Netherlands… except that punch hurt a lot more. Booooo!
