Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart split up again

Hope Solo’s contract terminated… The Paisley Park museum… VMA performances… Britney Spears’ Lifetime movie… and Jennifer Lopez and Casper Smart split up again

U.S. Soccer has terminated Hope Solo’s goalkeeper contract and suspended her from the Women’s National Team for six months basically because she’s a bad sport. After Team USA lost to Team Sweden in the Olympics, Hope called them a bunch of cowards because they didn’t want to pass the ball and said that the best team didn’t win that day. Hope says she’s sad the Federation decided to terminate her contract, but explained, “I could not be the player I am without being the person I am, even when I haven’t made the best choices or said the right things.” Meantime, general counsel for the women’s national team’s players association Rich Nichols says her punishment is excessive and they will appeal this decision on Hope’s behalf. Rich questioned “whether this action would ever has been taken against a male player or coach who, in the heated moments after a frustrating defeat, questioned the tactics of the opposing team.” In other disgraced Olympian news, Ryan Lochte reportedly signed a deal to be on “Dancing With the Stars.”

It’s official. Paisley Park is becoming a museum and will be open for daily tours this fall. Prince’s sister made the announcement yesterday, saying that this is something Prince always wanted to do and was actively working on at the time of his death. Tickets start at $38.50 and go on sale tomorrow at OfficialPaisleyPark.com. The tours are expected to run 70 minutes, with a maximum guest stay of two hours during peak times. The doors officially open to the public on October 6.

Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj are performing “Side by Side” off Ariana’s “Dangerous Woman” album at the VMAs. Previously announced performers include Nick Jonas and Britney Spears. Among the presenters are Kim Kardashian West, Sean Diddy Combs and Alicia Keys. The VMAs will be broadcast live from Madison Square Garden this Sunday night.

Without Britney Spears’ blessing or input, Lifetime is producing a movie based on her life. The 2-hour “Britney Jean” will follow Britney from her early days in the business to her relationship with Justin Timberlake to her marriages to Jason Alexander and Kevin Federline to her emotional breakdown and, ultimately, her redemption in Vegas. Natasha Bassett will star as Britney. Look for it sometime next year.

Jennifer Lopez has dumped Casper Smart. Again. One source told People magazine that it was completely amicable and that “it just came to a natural end.” But TMZ says it wasn’t such a pretty breakup. Jennifer told Casper it was really important for him to go to a fundraiser in the Hamptons with her but he went to Vegas with his buddies to watch a boxing match instead. She was so livid, she broke up with him.
