Miley Cyrus gets free rein at the MTV VMAs… Miley Cyrus slammingNicki Minaj… “Dancing With the Stars” releasing names… Lindsay Lohan drama… and Justin Bieber releases new single from upcoming album

The MTV VMAs are this Sunday night with Miley Cyrus hosting. The executive producer told Entertainment Weekly that they’re pretty much giving Miley free rein. There are still FCC standards in place, but other than that, there are no rules. So THAT should make for an interesting evening. Nicki Minaj is opening the show. Other performers include Justin Bieber, Pharrell, Demi Lovato, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, A$AP Rocky, The Wkend and Tori Kelly. Britney Spears is presenting the first award of the night. And look for a special appearance by Jenna Owens. Maybe. I’m not even sure she has a ticket inside, actually…………

Miley Cyrus ain’t scared of no Nicki Minaj! She is slamming Nicki for getting into a fight with Taylor Swift over the VMA nominations. The New York Times asked her about it and Miley said, “She was saying that everyone was white and blonde that got nominated, I heard? And then Taylor Swift butted in…What I read sounded very Nicki Minaj, which, if you know Nicki Minaj is not too kind. It’s not very polite.” Miley continued, “You don’t have to start this pop star against pop star war. It became Nicki Minaj and Taylor in a fight, so now the story isn’t even on what you wanted it to be about…” Miley thinks Nicki she ruined her own argument because she came from an angry place. She explained, “If you do things with an open heart and you come at things with love, you would be heard and I would respect your statement. But I don’t respect your statement because of the anger that came with it. And it’s not anger like, ‘Guys, I’m frustrated about some things that are a bigger issue.’ You made it about you. Not to sound like a bitch, but that’s like, ‘Eh, I didn’t get my VMA.’” So far, no response from Nicki.

“Dancing With the Stars” is trying something new…slowly releasing their names of their celebrity dancers instead of hitting us with them all at once. So far we’ve got Bindi Irwin, jockey Victor Espinoza, Chaka Khan, Paula Deen, Kim Zolciak, Nick Carter, Alexa Pena Vega and her husband Carlos Pena — the first husband and wife couple to compete against each other. There’s a rumor that “Bachelorette” runner-up Nick Viall is in discussions to join the show.

Sources told Page Six that it was “one thing after another” when Lindsay Lohan attended the 4-day wedding celebration of this rich couple in Florence, Italy. She actually DJ’d one event, and Lindsay reportedly got upset when she thought someone took her picture. She was yelling in a British accent, “Who took the photo? Don’t be an idiot!” During the wedding ceremony, Lindsay reportedly painted her fingernails and kept checking her phone. She then claimed somebody slipped her a mickey at the reception and left early. The sources say she went back to her villa and was running around naked and screaming that she’d been drugged. To top it all off, Lindsay claims her jewelry was stolen at the wedding.

Justin Bieber pulled out the big guns to promote the release of his new single “What Do You Mean?” In the weeks leading up to today, Justin got DOZENS of his famous friends, including Miley Cyrus, Ben Stiller, Ellen DeGeneres, Ashton Kutcher, Mark Wahlberg, Ariana Grande, Steven Tyler, Martha Stewart and Britney Spears, to promote the release on their social media sites. He’ll also perform it at the VMAs Sunday night.
