There’s something for everyone on the big screen with new movies hitting the theaters this weekend: The Great Gatsby, Tyler Perry Presents Peeples and Aftershock. Watch trailers and see how they’re scoring on Rotten Tomatotes.

“The Great Gatsby”

Nick Carrary (Tobey Maguire) leaves the Midwest and goes to New York in 1922. Chasing his dream, Nick ends up next door to a mysterious, party-giving millionaire, Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio) and across the bay is his cousin, Daisy (Carey Mulligan). Nick is darn into their world of riches and as her bears witness, he pens a tale of impossible love, incorruptible dreams and high-octane tragedy.

“Tyler Perry Presents Peeples”

In Tyler Perry’s version of Meet the Parents, Wade Walker (Craig Robinson) crashes the preppy Peeples family at a family reunion in the Hamptons to ask for permission to marry their daughter Grace (Kerry Washington). Wade discovers there’s room for all kinds of Peeples in his family, no matter their differences.

 “Peeples” got a 81% on Rotten Tomatoes.

 

“Aftershock”

An American group of tourists go to Chile and face a grueling fight for survival following a massive earthquake while at a nightclub. Little do they realize that this is the beginning of a nightmare from which no one care wake up and when inmates escape from a local prison and begin flooding into the streets, the initial shock turns to terror. Selena Gomez and Eli Roth star in the film

 “Aftershock” got a 82% on Rotten Tomatoes.
