Al, Al,...Al. Where do I begin. Let's start at the top. Good for you for inviting people to go to church with you. I really agree with the comment from "Graphics" about brunch and then they may be less intimated about attending church with you. Ne...

They needed me to help out with more production stuff, so my time on air has become limited. Hopefully I can get some stuff for you to hear soon! Hope all is well :)

Hi, I uploaded some new pictures on my page and my hair is red in them. I also changed my main picture. I'm planning on getting blonde highlights next time I get my hair done so I can transition back to blonde for the summer, but I really like my hair this color, so I'm sure I'll do it again sometime.

Hi Kathy, thanks for your message. I don't like layoffs either and no one hates seeing people leave more than me.
Having said that, this wasn't a decision that included Jenna or any of our part-time people. We were forced to eliminate two full-time positions.
As for Jenna, I wish I could go back and show you the negative emails and comments I get every time someone is added to the show, no matter how small the role. J-Si could tell you what I'm talking about. Sooo much hate! Not because he's not good but because they didn't KNOW him. But now, if he left the show, many of those same people who absolutely hated him would be calling in crying, demanding we bring him back. I'm not trying to be obnoxious, but I swear, it happens EVERY SINGLE time and I understand it. (I hated it when The Office brought in Andy. Now I love him.)
I will always listen to the opinions of the listeners and most of the time I will heed their advice, but the show is ever-changing and evolving, just like our listeners are. I think Jenna brings a cool and young spark to the show. Plus, she says "POP" (instead of Coke or Pepsi or even soda), and I love that. :) Her segment isn't really about magazines. Have you heard it? Last week was about the body language of the guys on the show. Usually, whatever she's talking about gets completely derailed by Kellie anyway, which to me is the show at its best.
Sorry for the long answer but wanted to address your comment. Thanks so much for not being afraid to tell how you feel.
love
Kidd

About Me:
As you can see from my pictures, I am the single mother of two wonderful children. My daughter is truly an angel, and one of the kindest people I know. My son is my spunky one, which is apparent by his expression in the pictures. There is never a dull moment when he is around but always lots of laughter (and often his sister's tears.) They are my greatest joy and blessing. I am also a middle school math teacher, which I love. This is my 15th year to teach, and my work is also a blessing in my life. Thank you for visiting my page...I still can't believe that I have one. I feel too old for this stuff...but it is fun!
What station do you listen to that plays the show?
KTYL 93.1 (I think those are the call letters.)

Do you believe in soulmates?

Okay, I'm just curious how many of you believe in soulmates. You know the belief that there is one and only one person in this world that you are divinely meant to be with forever. One person with whom you could connect completely. I used to think it could possibly be true, but I don't think I believe in it at all anymore. Just wondering what all of you think... Thanks for sharing your opinions.

Dreams have color?

I haven't blogged in quite a while...very busy with life. But the other day, something happened at school that gave me pause to think. It was the day after President Obama's inaugaration. And two days after Martin Luther King, Jr Day. After school, one of my African-American students (age 12) was imitating Martin Luther King's "I have a dream speech...", as we had watched excerpts of the speech the Friday before the holiday. Well, I struck up a conversation with the student about dreams and how… Continue

Witnessing violence

This is my 15th year to teach either 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in a medium size schools. I have seen a lot, heard a lot and done a lot in those years. At 5' 2", I've still never been intimidated to break up fights between boys twice my size or between girls who could fight like cats. Along with pre-algebra, geometry, statistics, and general problem solving, I also taught them about respect for others, making good choices, and how to be a better person. At least I tried to do so.

Today I witnessed… Continue

Pre-lit Lunacy

What are you supposed to do when one section of lights on your 3-year-old pre-lit Christmas tree goes out and all of the bulbs/fuses check out to be fine (so it must be in the wiring)?!??!! Run out and spend a few hundred on a new Christmas tree?!? AAUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!! Well, I did not because at 7:00 on Saturday night with 2 children begging to decorate the tree I did the only thing I could do...spun that 8ft. tree around and put those dead lights to the wall. And if anybody notices and says some… Continue

Holidays past...

It is 11 o'clock on Wednesday night. I should be asleep. Thanksgiving is tomorrow. Thanksgiving was always my favorite holiday. Its purpose just seemed so simple...gather with those you love and give thanks for all that you have been blessed with in life. My family used to eat food all day, have "42" tournaments, and always watch the Cowboys play. It was so much fun. I looked forward to that day all year. Thanksgiving 2004 was the last time we had that much fun on Thanksgiving. My father became… Continue
