- About Me:
- I am a somewhat newlywed and a first time mom of the world's best toddler. After 10 years of trying, my first marriage ended, and then I decided, "Hey! Maybe it is just not meant for me to be a parent" I decided to go back to school and get my CPA license, and basically just enjoy life. Then, because life is ironic, as soon as I focused on something else...wouldn't you know? I became pregnant, and spent my last semester VERY tired and VERY big! : ) I was afraid I was going into labor during my Corporate Tax Final. I am now sitting for the BEAST. I have taken two of four parts of the CPA Exam and I take the next one in January I am a "Halfway CPA".. I am married to someone who is truly much better than I could ever deserve, and to top it off he's a great DAD too.
My daughter was born with Moderate to Severe Plagiocephaly and Mild Torticollis. Simply put, she had a flat head and could not turn fully to the left. We spent many months of physical therapy and used a Starband to round her head. Now she's all round and beautiful. Of course, I always thought she was. : )
If I could share any advice with people, the one thing I would share is "Be happy with your life. Be happy with the simple things". I spent 15 lonely and desperate years dwelling in my unhappiness. I might add 15 wasted years. Life is short. Enjoy it!
Shifting gears here, on a day to day basis, I enjoy keeping up with the news and current events, and ashamedly, celebrity dirt. Beyond the normal stuff, I am passionate about all things 80s. And I would like to give a good smack to the idiot who decided to replace VIDEOS on MTV and VH1 with all those dumb shows they have on now.
I'm dating myself but, I've been listening to Kidd Kraddick since I was a tadpole, and he did the Boogie Check on KEGL. Anyone remember when he did "Jungle Love" and you got to call in on the O-E-O-E-O part? I was in college when Kidd's daughter was born and loved her name so much that I named my own daughter Caroline nearly 20 years later.
I love Kidd, and I believe that sometimes it's his job to take the other side in an argument. How boring if they all agree? I think Al needs to stop dating little girls because it's embarrassing. It reminds me of that line in the Wedding Singer where he talks about "Because no one wants to see a 50 yr old guy hitting on chicks". I think Kellie is a beautiful woman who needs to like herself more. Self sabotage is her worst enemy. I think Shanon is gorgeous. I don't go that way, but if I did, she's really beautiful, and I worry about her too. And honestly, I know I will get smacked, but I do kind of miss Taylor. She was young and fearless, and I was a bit jealous of that.
I didn't know what to think of JC at first, but he has grown to become my favorite. I love his laugh. I wanted to hug him at the Orphanage in Mexico, and I think he has a lot of integrity. If I was single and 21, I would snatch up Andrew in a second. But I would either have to learn to play WoW or he would have to learn some social skills. I truly think Andrew is going to be quite a catch for some girl!
On KiddNation, you can count on me to provide lots and lots of snark. YES, it comes from years of being picked on and bullied (I'm a nerd!) that I very often have quick comebacks. But this is all meant in fun. I also like to debate, but it is meant to expand my own views and not to degrade or demean anyone. I value everyone's opinion, even the wrong ones *cough cough* and appreciate all the comments.

It's My Decision, So Why Do I Feel So Terrible?
What's wrong with having only one child? When we told my in laws that we were perfectly happy with our beautiful smart, ONLY daughter, you would have thought I told them we were moving to a foreign country and no airline could reach us. Can Elmo Be Scary?
