Everyone is Sacred to Someone
I "paraphrased" the song "Hey, There, Delilah" by the Plain White Ts for my nephew Eli born today, August 20, 2008.
Hey there, Elijah
Welcome to your new city
You've come a real long way and wrapped in blue
today we're all so giddy seeing you
A life that's fresh and so brand new
Hey there, Elijah, here's to you
Hey there, Elijah
Don't you worry about resistance
Life is great but hard but listen
Close your eyes and pray
It works, I'm by your side
If life's a trial, you're the prize
Just realize
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
What do you see?
Hey there, Elijah
Boy of trains and planes and cars
Just believe in yourself and you'll know
your potential's in the stars
It's limitless
You just can't miss
Hey there, Elijah
It is almost your birthday
You're growing fast and tall
and steadily you take mom's breath away
It's worth it all
Ever more in love with you we fall
You'll have it all
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
What do you see?
Until we meet you seems very long
but we wait and we carry on
We know we'll see you soon and celebrate
You'll be so much joy for us
and we'll all laugh and cry because we know that you were meant to come our way
Oh, happy day
Elijah, I can promise you that by the time that you get through the world will never ever be the same
It'll know your name
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
Oh, who're you gonna be?
What do you see?

BOO WORK
Yep, 16 hrs a day is alotta stress....but I'm just thankful to have a job in this crazy economy. Can't wait for the weekend. VA Beach, here I come! Will have my children all together again...adopted and biological. I feel so complete when we're together. Reserved a double suite of rooms at a nice hotel so my daughter and her hubby and son can come over after the birthday party. SO...you could say that AFTER the birthday party of (25) five-year olds at her house, we're going to the hotel for a pool party, then use the family theatre room with cool leather recliners and cupholders & popcorn machine, and probably stay up all Saturday night...the boys will end up sprawled in their room and in the living room area (where there's a foldout couch for visitors) and my daughter will no doubt end up in my room. Age is no matter. We're so predictable. We'll do our nails, talk about love...and fall asleep watching the Hallmark channel. :-)
I feel so ashamed telling you all that when I think of your sister and her recent loss. How is she getting along now??? I've been praying for her...and all of you.
Hugs!
