First, I am sorry because I obviously offended you. If you read my 1st post on Kidd's blog concerning the election, you would know that I indeed voted for John McCain. In fact, I consistently vote Republican based on my religious beliefs. You would also know that I have great concerns and strongly disagree with some of his plans for our country. I am very pro-life and participate in activities to promote that cause. I do not really like the "rah-rah" of the Obama supporters, but that is life. It does me no good to get angry about it or lash out at them. The point of my comment was that the dye has been cast. I don't think anyone should complain about how another person voted because we can't change it now. We can only pray that our legislators, the Supreme Court, and Barack Obama will be swayed by God's wisdom in governing our country. I don't know if that will happen, but it is what I pray. I also pray God will present me with opportunities to be His servant in doing His work. As far as me condoning anything a person wants to do...No, I don't. Although, I do realize that I was a sinner, but now the life I live is through Jesus Christ (Galations 2:20). Unfortunately, I know I will still make mistakes and grieve the heart of God before I die. However, I am strong in my salvation and in my relationship with Christ. I daily live my life trying to be His disciple. Honestly, that's one of things I like about Kiddnation...I can try to spread the love and word of God to a whole new mission field. I suppose my view can be summarized by 2 Timothy 2:24-26. It reads (NIV), "And the Lord's servant must not quarrel; but be kind to all men, able to teach, not resentful. Those who oppose him he must gently instruct, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will." I believe this passage probably describes you also. We just differ on how to do it. I don't believe my comment was in contradiction to my beliefs. Again, I apologize for obviously angering you. Thanks.
