Debra Rayburne Stroud A Friend in Need

On Dec. 16th , 2009, I asked a co-worker to write for a Kissmas wish for another co-worker. Kidd you granted that wish to us. Jeannie Holland is the Vice-Principal for our school and Brandon Turner was the friend in need.

Brandon's son Blake was having medical problems with stomach feeding tube and the doctor bills were reaching unbelievable amounts, Brandon was having to work 2 full time jobs. (one as a teacher and the other as a retail sales manager for Sports Authority). Just to rem

Kellie Rasberry I need another nap....

I did a pretty good job sticking to my original plan -- which was spending as much time as I could in bed over the weekend. I slept til about 10am Saturday and then took another nap for about an hour that evening before I met a friend out at the movies. That was about as much sloth as I could stand.

I had all the windows in my house replaced on Friday. It was time. The house was built in '72 and the windows were original. The job they thought would take 5-6 hours took NINE. They had… Continue

Sjadine Britney Spears

One thing I can not stand about BRitney Spears is that she is like a halfa** rebel. She does somethings that are controversial then she pulls back and edits it.

For example, Everytime video, she had it that she commits suicide, then when some people complained she and the record label backed off and it turned into the stupidest death scene I have ever seen.

If You Seek Amy was turned into If You See Amy for radio, simply because a few people complained. Then the line from "3" wa

Brittany Brown A blog?! Fantastic!

Why is it that one, such as myself, with so much love for the idea of blogging, cannot seem to keep one up? I've tried to start a blog so many times. The internet is littered with my failed attempts to blog consistantly. I always begin with the best of intentions and end up getting distracted or forgetting my password or something silly like that. I like writing quite a bit, but I could never get into the idea of organizing thoughts and having plotlines and stories that have beginnings, middl

Sjadine Just saw 2012

And it was a very good movie, not the best disaster movie, I still prefer Day After Tomorrow and War of the Worlds and it doesnt even come close to ID4; but it was very good and I think this is the first disaster movie where I cried. Then again its the first one I have seen in theatres since Independence Day. I never would have thought John Cusack was an action star, he just seemed like one of those nerdy movie stars. The special effects were great, and as a black female, I had t

Rachel Layla Grace-2 yr old in the fight of her young life

Guys check out laylagrace.org.(...be sure you have some tissues before you do...)

In short, Layla was a normal, healthy child until about 16 mos of age. After many a doctor appointment and many a test, she was diagnosed w/ Stage 4 Neuroblastoma, a massive cancerous tumor in her abdomen. In addition, the cancer is in her bone marrow.

Layla and her family have been fighting the good fight for quite awhile now; she is 2 years old at this point. Recently she has begu

Amy Wallace Irritated by comment on show

Earlier on today's show they were talking about Lady Gaga and they had people call in to voice their opinions. One woman made the comment that Lady Gaga does everything for attention like a teenager going through a "Goth Phase" that wants attention.. That comment really irritated me because everyone always assumes that goths (particularly teenagers) are going through a phase that they're going to grow out of.. That isn't the case at all. I mean sure, some teenagers do change as thContinue

FriarMoose Encouragement

We go about our daily lives without a hint of encouragement from those around us
We want it, we crave it, it's what makes us stronger
But then we find the encouragement from just the words of our own heart
We've been here before, we've done this before, we can do this
Adrenaline kicks in and you realize that you just needed the belief in yourself to succeed
Don't let people be the first to encourage you, have faith in who you are

Big Al jared day was a big success... but it wasnt without a little drama!

"Jared Williams day" was awesome. It started off with a very modest lunch crowd. I have to admit, it was scary there for a minute. But when the evening rolled around, it WAS ON! The place filled up and the energy was great. But I have to mention this. For a little while, it was almost like jared wasn’t going to make it to his own party. Check it out. I had paid for a mini van with a wheelchair lift to pick jared and his family up and bring them to the restaurant. I got a call at 7pm and I recogn… Continue

Kellie Rasberry My Wednesday

This has been just the most scattered week. But I see the weekend coming and except for helping a friend pack for a move, there's not anything else on the agenda and I plan on keeping it that way. Oh crap! I just remembered Haven got us tickets to see Davy Jones and David Cassidy on Saturday night. Man!!!! I used to watch the Monkees reruns all the time -- when I was TEN! And I was clueless that I was watching reruns and that they were then old men in a band long-since disbanded. Plus, my favori… Continue

Joshua Allen SuperBowl.............

Everybody has problems.......and Peyton Manning is a universe ahead in terms of quality . So, maybe we shouldn't cheer for the Saints just because they had a hurricane 5 years ago! Maybe we should realize everyone has problems, and focus on who's better and not some fluid and ethereal sense of karmic approbation over the seemingly random result of a very complex system of weather patterns..... Big Al its jared williams day!

I don’t know if there is anything I have learned that has meant more to me from being a part of Kidd Kraddick in the morning, than the importance of giving. I grew up watching my mother and father help others. My mom ALWAYS took care of my grandparents. And even while she did this, taking them food, taking them to doctors appointments, and other seemingly small things, they would also somehow find time to take care of my sister and I as well. Later in life, my mom’s brother, Charles Freeman, suf… Continue

Kellie Rasberry Tuesday.

Tuesday was just a mess. It started out with the mystery of my lost dress. Right after the show Monday, I raced to the mall, grabbed a few things I thought might work for the photo shoot and brought them with me to the studio. One was a black dress I didn't end up wearing, but it would be perfect for a funeral I was attending on Tuesday. So Tuesday morning, there was no stress trying to figure out what I was going to wear -- which can sometimes take up to 15 or 20 minutes if I get into an "every… Continue

Big Al 1 more day!

Tomorrow is the big day. Jared Williams day. in case you hadn’t read my blog in a while, jared is a 15 year old kid that is a freshman in high school. He was a very good athlete. In fact, he was so good, he won a starting job as a safety on the varsity football team at his school. On of only three kids to ever do this at Pinkston High school. He is a good looking kid and an A-B student. He has an 8 year old little sister and his mom is a single mom. On a Friday night in dallas this past football… Continue

Heather life

funny how life can be so topsy turvy....soon as everything looks great and your keepin on...makin it work...drama must rear its ugly face.....why is that? why cant things just be good for a while....and why when drama hits cant it be simple drama....you know ...stupid stuff...like the stuff we deal with here on the board...why instead does it have to be life altering drama...drama that runs the risk of ruining the lives of those closest to you.....and what do you do with that...how do you keep i… Continue
