So today is My Turn Day. it's the day where we're supposed to come forward and announce a public service project we will undertake in 2009. Life seems to suck lately. People I know are loosing jobs and homes. Every night at the dinner table when I watch Charlie Gibson, the news is more and more bleak. The outlook of America seems grim. I still have not caught up on sleep from the party weekend I had and each morning this week has gotten tougher to drag my butt out of bed at 3:30am! I went to a big rock concert on Saturday night. I used to be a pretty big concert goer and rocker. I used to go to general admission shows back in the day, drink and get in to the mosh pit all the time! I have since mellowed. Apparently my little speech to my daughter on Friday night about behaving and respecting adults did not work :( She got in trouble in school on Monday and Tuesday for disrespecting her teachers. Ugh! She's testing her boundries and I need to show her she's crossed them. My wife and I have now started a behavior chart at the house that encompasses behavioral criteria from home and school. This is normally the time of the year that I am able to catch up on reading and baseball games because TV is so lame! However, this summer I have been roped in to two new shows that I really dig. 1. Swingtown - Thursdays on CBS. This show is totally pushing the envelope of primetime network TV. It's taboo and it's great. Awesome story line. Good acting. Cool retro feel.
