I must be one of the few people glad to see the back of Halloween. No more pumpkins, trick or treating, and costumes that cost far too much money. Austin in the office spent $100 on his costume and ha no intention of wearing any of the stuff ever again. I much rather take that money and go out for a meal or night out with my mates. Before I jump too far ahead let me start with the iconic symbol of Halloween and everything I hate about it: The pumpkin. I have never liked pumpkins or in fact the color orange (what great things are orange other than an orange itself?), the inside of a pumpkin smells terrible and seeds really don’t taste all that great. Fine, pumpkin bread may be the one good thing that comes from a pumpkin but who really uses the real deal to make the bread. If you do just stop reading and enjoy the holiday, I salute you. Carving pumpkins may be cool if your five and don’t get out much but I rather not. Trick or treating is annoying; my mate in England turns off all his lights so no one will think he is home. Brilliant idea if you ask me. The candy they pass out really is not that great and I rather just have a massive king size snickers than a party size one, how boring is that. Maybe I am just English and really sour because Americans LOVE every holiday and I was deprived in my childhood in my holiday celebration. Ok in all honesty, my Halloween was spent at an engagement party so I am just extra sour right now and trying to make Halloween sound terrible. If anyone has extra pumpkin bread left, can I have some?
Cheers!
