We’ve got a great group of kids along with their families here at Disneyworld. We have met almost all of them and I have begun my job of trying to remember all of their names.
It amazes me how smart some of these parents are and how versed they are on their childrens conditions. Talking to some of them they seem almost like doctors. And I met one little boy from Arkansas who is 6 years old named tyler. As we were eating dinner last night, he looked at me with a huge smle on his face and said, “I have a disease.” It was so funny. I asked him what disease he had and he said “cystic fibrosis.” He told me a little bit about what that means. He is one of 5 kids in his family and they are all here. That mom needs a medal. The kids have her running back and forth to the buffet table and then to the soft drink table. It was something to see. I was confused to whether she was a mom or a waitress. But she smiled and said, “its just what I do.”

Its so weird that when we got here after enjoying an afternoon of getting to know the kids and all of that, we arrive and hear of the tragedy of ft. hood. How do things like this happen? Our prayers go out to those families involved.

We will all get to know the families here at Disneyworld better today and throughout the weekend and I’ll be able to tell you lots more stories after that. have a great weekend.
