Kiddnation

I've been pretty sick all day today. Yes, I drank my way through Halloween night and I woke up feeling fine after getting a solid 8 hours of sleep. But after I was up a couple hours, I downed a bottle of water and I don't know WHAT happened. It's like I got SICK drunk and couldn't hold my head up, which is quite convenient when your head is hanging over a toilet. I downed half a bottle of Pepto and Auntie Crazy brought me some nummy mashed potatoes and my tummy feels a lot better now. I love that she wants to take care of me. When I was going through some bad stuff back in the fall, she came over every night with heaping mounds of comfort food. I gained about 6 pounds, but I felt loved.

So I had to dress up for Halloween and I was a pirate. A pirate with no pants -- just two pairs of leggings so you couldn't see my business. I thought I looked all right until some of pictures of me got tagged on Facebook. And nobody was too crazy impressed by me the whole night, therefore I'm back to never dressing up for Halloween again. Started at the Cobra Starship concert but stood backstage the whole time, so all I heard was "Wah wah wah wah wah" every time Gabe spoke. Some people in the audience told me he thanked me for my support, but I never heard it. Still nice of him to do that. Then I had to go host a little drag queen costume thing and it was a hot mess. The dancers all changed the order and the DJ wasn't in on the change of plans. So I'd announce one queen and a different one would come out. Then the DJ decided one of the girls was taking too long and cut her song short by 3 minutes. Oh-no-he-didn't. Just a mess. Raced over to Ghost Bar when Gabe was DJing and I met the girl on the front cover of Cobra Starship's Hot Mess CD. So that, of course, was like meeting royalty for me. Gabe was his usual polite self. Can't show me too much attention because he knows how I'll run with that. I'M the hot mess. I should've been on that CD cover with a big "Stupid" tattoo across my forehead. Oh well.

Emma Kelly was with her daddy all Halloween weekend. His turn. He gets her for Thanksgiving, too, and I get her for Christmas. Then next year, I'll get Halloween and T'giving and he gets Christmas. This is the part of visitation that sucks, but we just have to make the best of it. Freddie did a good job with her -- took her to a couple of carnivals and drove her to houses of people who love her and wanted to see her. She decided to go with being a rockstar. So much for all those princess dresses Auntie Crazy bought!! Emma Kelly deemed them all "scratchy" so that was the end of that.

I'm off to go read a book about why men like women who are b**ches. Uh, if that was the case, wouldn't I have been married and divorced more times that Elizabeth Taylor by now?

XO
Kellie

Drinking water before I go to sleep (after drinking) will stave off my future headachey-hangover. I never heard of it re-triggering drunkeness! Do post pictures of the birthday party soon! How's it going without the binky?

Never, ever just drink water after drinking too much. All it does is re-activate all the alcohol you consumed. I did that many years ago, even after my not yet husband tried to convince me to drink sweet tea or something sugary. I didn't listen, and wished I had.

Sounds like a crazy night! and memorable, and that's what Halloween should be.

I think halloween is a holiday made up by stomach medicine people. Because no matter if you're a kid, or an adult you're more than likely going to wake up with a stomach ache. Either from candy, or alcohol. So people go out and buy more medicine, and their sales go up. I probably didn't need to explain that part i'm sure everyone got it before, but oh well.
