"I'm promoting you to manager. What's your name again?"
Just got off the phone with my daughter Caroline who is a freshman in college and spending the summer at school. She got a job at a trendy boutique ONE WEEK AGO and today she was promoted to manager. LOL. I'm not sure if that's now her official title, but apparently every other employee quit within a 48 hour period for various reasons, so Caroline is the only employee left. She was so excited to tell me, "I have the keys to the store!" God help us all. :)

It reminded me of my first job at 16, I worked in the ladies department of a very fancy store compare to Newman Marcus... saying the same stuff to the customers "it looks great you need to buy it" lol... I hope she survives! Glad you sharing this story with us... =)
