It was a great weekend which included family, work and church. Im especially happy about the church part because I had missed the last 2 Sundays. Anyway, lets talk about Friday. I had this “great” idea that I would interrupt a karaoke singer in the middle of a song, (kanye west style), and make a couple of announcements. Rude? Yes! But all in fun. She was singing tina turner’s proud mary. She was maybe 25 years old and I found out later that it took everything that she had to get the courage to get up and sing. And one minute into her song, I went up on the stage to make “important announcements” about our Sunday brunch specials. She was in shock that I could be so rude. It was very uncomfortable. I finished my announcements and turned it back over to her. That was a very tough bit to do. Its really hard for me to be rude! Anyway, after she was singing for about 1 more minute, I thought to myself, if that was bad, it would be even worse if I did it again…so, I did! I went back on stage, stopped her again, and made more announcements. This time, the poor girl left the stage. Embarrassed and pissed. I tried to apologize and explain that it was a bit. I showed her that I was recording the whole thing. Her friends wanted to kill me. Even J-Si had to come over and jump in. it was baaaad!
I eventually smoothed it over and bought them a round of drinks. Isn’t alcohol great? It seems to solve even the toughest problems.

I did a similar thing at an even more crucial time on Sunday while the New Orleans Saints game was on. Basically…it was third and three, almost the end of the 1st half. I grabbed the remote for the 100” tv and stood in the middle of the bar and turned the TV off. OMG, the fans didn’t like that. (thanks Lady GaGa.) we will play audio from both of these on the show.

So, im finally doing it. We, (kidd and I), have talked about it for years but now im finally doing it. The lease is up on my denali and I have to turn it in TODAY! And I have priced a couple of new trucks but I have been wanting an old car for a while. And I think I found one. It’s a 1964 BUICK RIVIERA. It is in pretty good condition but I will have to put a little bit of money and love into it. But this is one of the things that has been on my bucket list for a long, long time. So, im going for it.

One thing im really happy about is the fact that in the last year or so, I’ve been able to accomplish a few things that I have wanted to do for a long time. First, im going to church more and working on my relationship with God. And I have even started “serving” in a ministry and ive procrastinated about doing that for a long time. second, I moved into the high rise almost a year ago. That was something that I wanted to do for a long time also. Theres been a few other things as well that im happy about. If you don’t have a “bucket list”, make one. The feeling that you get when you can actually cross something off the list is awesome!

Have a great day!

You are great Al. You know, of course, that opinions are like ..... you know...... and everyone has one, but maybe you should get your bar a little more established before you do bits there. Well, you obviously know a little more about business than I do, you do have two bars, so I am sure you know what you are doing. Keep up the good work!!!
