Oh, my tummy. Tried to use up what was in the veggie drawer, so I ate broccoli, onion and tofu stir-fry tonight. Don't come near me until this wears off!!!

Emma Kelly is in this weird phase where she wants to inflict pain. I remember my cousin Suzanne would deal with it by giving back whatever her kid just did. If one of her kids bit another one, Suzanne would bite the biter. So, since it's me Emma Kelly is pummeling, I threaten to pummel her back. And she stands there with a big grin on her face waiting to take it. In fact, she BEGGED me to hit her on the arm today. What's up with that?? And I thought she was coming in for a kiss tonight...She bit me!!! But she's hugging me at the same time, like she loves me so much, she has to bite me. What am I supposed to do with that??

I made a list of everything I have to pack for Kidd's Kids and my plan is this: Get up at 3am to shower, shave and fake tan legs, then pack. I can do this! I have no idea if any of my shorts are going to fit. I'm going to try them on as I pack. If they fit, they go in. If they don't, I won't be packing them. Then I'll be forced to go shopping in the Disney gift shops and come home with nothing but Goofy and Minnie Mouse britches. Why didn't I just drop the 10 pounds like I planned on doing 2 months ago........Life would be so much easier if I had self-discipline. Is it too late to develop that?

Off to down some Pepto Bismol. I should buy stock in that company.

XO
Kellie

Hey, my oldest (who is now 9) bit me when he was about 18 months old. He chomped down on my shoulder and HARD. So, without really thinking, I bit his shoulder. He cried for a few minutes, I told him, "See! It hurts when you bite! You hurt mommy, too!" and he NEVER bit me, again. Did it have anything to do with me biting him back? I have no idea. If I had thought about it for even a second longer, would I have still bit him? I don't know. All I know is that I never got bit, again, and I credit it somewhat to the fact that I showed him that biting hurts and I don't think he wanted to hurt his mommy, again!

Bite her back! That is the only way EK will learn. Of course not enough to leave a horrific mark so the nurse can see it (LOL Teresa) but enough for her to feel it. She will definitely grow out of it but better now than later!

Hope you feel better soon Kelly!
As for the bitting thing with Emma Kelly...she is just looking for "Momma Lovin'" they are so cute at that age they are willing to do anything to get and hold Mom's attention. She will grow out of it as soon as she find something else that gets your attention for a while.

My mom bit me back once, thinking it would break me of the habit. Unfortunately, she decided to do this while we were waiting in line for vaccinations! When it came our turn, and the nurse lifted my sleeve to give my the shot, she asked, "who bit this child?" My mom was MORTIFIED!!!
