The Grammy nominations were revealed this morning. Up for Album of the Year are “25” by Adele, Beyonce’s “Lemonade,” Justin Bieber’s “Purpose,” Drake’s “Views,” and Sturgill Simpson’s “A Sailor’s Guide to Earth.” Song of the Year nominees are Adele with “Hello,” Lukas Graham’s “7 Years,” “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” by Mike Posner, “Formation” by Beyonce, and “Love Yourself” by Justin Bieber. And winning the Grammy for Best New Artist is sometimes considered a curse, but up for that one this year are Kelsea Ballerini, The Chainsmokers, Chance The Rapper, Maren Morris and Anderson Paak. There’s a possibility that Steven Tyler has found his next soulmate for now. He was at an event this weekend with his girlfriend, Aimee Ann Preston, and she was wearing a big ring on THAT finger. It wasn’t a traditional diamond, but a large, grey pearl surrounded by tiny diamonds. Selena’s widowed husband Chris Perez wrote a memoir to his late wife — To Selena With Love — which is now being developed into a TV series. But Selena’s father, Abraham Quintanilla Jr., isn’t happy about that, so he’s suing Chris and the production company. In court documents, it says that back in 1995 Chris signed a contract that said Mr. Quintanilla “owns all proprietary rights in the name, voice, signature, photograph, and likeness of Selena.” But Chris says he spent way too many years keeping his memories of Selena bottled up inside and he’s ready now to bring his love for her to the screen. But not if Mr. Quintanilla has anything to say about it…
Star Magazine says Caitlyn Jenner is so unhappy that she’s turned to booze, drinking a bottle of wine by herself every night. A source says this has been a very rough year for Caitlyn, whose TV series was canceled and who’s basically been left out in the cold by the Kardashians. The source said, “Her local liquor store in Malibu has actually run out of her favorite brand of Pinot Grigio because she drained their stocks dry! The guy behind the counter suggested she might like to put in an order for bulk delivery. He was joking, but Cait was mortified.”
A judge has approved Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s custody agreement. Entertainment Tonight has seen the court documents, which grant Angelina physical custody of the six kids. A team of five mental health professionals are helping the family with “safe harbor therapy.” Reportedly, Brad will continue to have therapeutic visitations with the kids, and he kids will participate in individual counseling. It’s not clear whether Brad will see the kids over Christmas. Reportedly, Brad didn’t see them over Thanksgiving.
