Chris Brown Served With A 5-Year Restraining Order

Kenya Moore got married… Jay Z inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame… Jury is deadlocked in Bill Cosby’s trial… people are FURIOUS with Justin Bieber… and Chris Brown served with a 5-year restraining order

Kenya Moore is finally a REAL Housewife of Atlanta. She got married last weekend in front of just a few family and friends on the beach in St. Lucia. No idea who the guy is, but apparently they met about a year ago and started dating a few months after that. All Kenya told People was, “This man is the love of my life and I’m so happy to begin our lives together as husband and wife.”

Jay Z became the first rapper ever inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame last night and it was such a big deal that the former president introduced him…except neither one of them was there. Barack Obama filmed his part, saying in part that he and Jay Z understand each other. He said, “We know what it’s like not to have a father around, we know what it’s like not to come from much, and to know people who didn’t get the same breaks that we did. So we try to prop open those doors of opportunity so that it’s a little easier for those who come up behind us to succeed as well.” And Obama added, “Let’s face it. We both have wives who are significantly more popular than we are.” Now, Jay Z wasn’t there because A) he’s waiting for his twins to be born, or B) he’s with his wife Beyonce and their newborn twins.

After four days of deliberations, the jury is deadlocked in Bill Cosby’s sex assault trial. Reporters say Bill sat there and beamed as a note was read from the jury that said, “We cannot come to a unanimous consensus on any of the counts.” But the judge was having none of that, telling them all to get back in there this morning and try to come up with a verdict. Outside the courthouse, Cosby’s spokesman told reporters that Bill is just happy to know that 12 of his peers who understand the facts of the case realize the facts just don’t add up. Later in the day, Bill’s spokesman called on the judge to declare a mistrial.

Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee released their song “Despacito” earlier this year and then put our a remix with Justin Bieber that’s become a monster hit. But the problem is, people want Justin to perform the song during his concerts and he can’t. He doesn’t speak Spanish. He recorded his vocals using a phonetic printout of the lyrics. He was just doing his part to make the song a bigger hit. So THERE. But people are FURIOUS with Justin over this! Some are even getting violent over it, trying to pelt him with water bottles when he’s on stage. But here’s the thing — LUIS FREAKIN’ FONSI has his back. Luis told ABC News radio, “I think we have to give him a little bit of a pass because that’s not his main language. We can’t expect the guy to just out of the blue get it perfectly.” Luis said they told Justin he could do all of his part in English, but “he decided to take the time to record it in Spanish because he wanted to keep the originality of the song. So I actually applaud the fact that he took the time in the recording studio to do it, and he did a great job. He’s on tour. He’s concentrating on his music. I don’t think we have to be so strict.”So basically, Luis is saying, “LEAVE JUSTIN BIEBER ALONE!!!”

A judge has granted Karrueche Tran a 5-year restraining order against Chris Brown. Karrueche testified in court yesterday that when they broke up (for the umpteenth time) Chris demanded she return the diamond rings he’d given her, but she refused. She says that’s when he began threatening to beat her and promised he would make her life hell. During cross examination, Chris’ attorney suggested Karrueche taunted Chris over the diamonds by pretending she’d sold them. But the judge didn’t apparently didn’t think that gave Chris the right to threaten Karrueche’s life, so he’s got to stay away from her for five years, which — coincidentally — is how long the two of them were together, on and off.
