After 10 athletes competed in just three short weeks of competition, Olympic ice skater Adam Rippon and Jenna Johnson won the Mirror Ball Trophy on last night’s “Dancing With the Stars.” We don’t know if Tonya Harding or Josh Norman placed second because they didn’t tell us. And right after that, we had the “American Idol” finale. After Gabbie Barrett got the boot, Caleb Lee Hutchinson and Maddie Poppe revealed they’re boyfriend and girlfriend. Awwwww! And then these little virginal lovers were gifted a trip to Hawaii, and Caleb immediately let us all know that their parents would be coming along to chaperone. And then FINALLY Maddie Poppe was showered with confetti after she was named the winner. Then it just became one big sloppy karaoke show when the other contestants rushed the stage and the mic got passed around. It was a hot mess.

Netflix has signed a deal with the Obamas to produce series and movies. We have no idea how much the former President and First Lady are getting paid, but we do know that Netflix stole Shonda Rhimes from ABC Studios last year with a deal that reportedly was worth more than $100 million. And then earlier this year, Netflix got Ryan Murphy to leave 20th Century Fox Television. That deal was worth a reported $300 million. How does Netflix have any money left???

Kendrick Lamar was performing at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, Alabama, when he invited a fan up onto the stage to rap for his song “M.A.A.D. City.” There are a couple of problems with this scenario. One, this song is filled with the N-word, and two, he pulled up a white woman to do the rapping. So as soon as the young woman named Delaney starts dropping N-bombs, she’s met with hisses and boos, which seemed to confuse her. Lamar stopped the music and told her he thought she knew the rules and said she could keep going if she edited herself. Delaney apologized and we are all left to debate this around the office water coolers today.

Just hours after she won her Billboard Music Award and thanked her fans for worrying about her getting enough sleep and water, Camila Cabello checked herself into the hospital where she was diagnosed with dehydration. She said the doctors told her the only way to get better was to rest, so she ended up having to cancel as Taylor Swift’s opening act in Seattle. Camila profusely apologized on Twitter, promising to make it up to her disappointed fans as soon as she can.

Hailee Steinfeld and Niall Horan are not hiding their relationship anymore. A source claims to have seen them making out at a restaurant in LA. And Ariana Grande is fresh off her relationship with Mac Miller and dipping her toe back into the dating waters with SNL star Pete Davidson. Sources say it’s super casual. Ariana and Mac split up in March. Then in May, she and Pete were seen sitting together at an SNL after party after Melissa McCarthy hosted. Pete recently ended things with Larry David’s daughter, Cazzie.
