Weekend box office news… Lou Pearlman dies at 62… Barbra Streisand’s beef with Siri… Usain Bolt celebrates Olympic wins… and Leonardo DiCaprio and girlfriend reportedly get in car accident

For the third straight weekend, “Suicide Squad” won the box office with $20.7 million. Seth Rogen’s “Sausage Party” was second with $15.3 million. Coming in third was “War Dogs” starring Jonah Hill and Miles Teller with $14.3 million. Fourth place went to the new family movie “Kubo and the Two Strings” with $12.6 million. That didn’t do as well as studios predicted, but the BIG bomb of the weekend was the new “Ben Hur” which debuted in fifth with only $11.4 million.

The man who was the mastermind behind the Backstreet Boys, ’N Sync and O-Town has died in prison. Lou Pearlman was 62. Back in 2008, Lou was convicted for his involvement in a massive half-billion dollar Ponzi scheme and was sentenced to 25 years. He was also sued by most of his former acts for fraud and misrepresentation. So how do the guys who sued Lou feel about his death? A lot of them went on Twitter to express…..something. Justin Timberlake tweeted, “I hope he found some peace. God bless and RIP, Lou Pearlman.” Fellow ’N Syncer Lance Bass wrote, “Word is that #LouPearlman has passed away. He might not have been a stand up businessman, but I wouldn’t be doing what I love today wout his influence. RIP Lou.” From the Backstreet Boys, AJ McLean tweeted, “Many emotions at the news of Lou’s passing. Without Lou I wouldn’t have met my four brothers or had the opportunity of a lifetime. RIP.” And from Aaron Carter, “#LouPearlman my old manager died in prison… Rip Lou not the best business guy really at all but he did discover me karma is real.”

Have you ever wondered if all the rumors about Barbra Streisand being a super diva are true? Well, yes. Yes, they are. Barbra was a guest on NPR and said she was offended that Siri pronounced her name incorrectly, so she called the CEO of Apple to get it fixed!! She said, “She pronounces my name wrong. ‘Strei-SSSSAND,’ with a soft S, like sand on the beach. I’ve been saying this for my whole career…And so what did I do? I called the head of Apple, Tim Cook, and he delightfully agreed to have Siri change the pronunciation of my name, finally, with the next update on Sept. 30.”

A young Brazilian woman says she is “dying of shame” after the WhatsApp pictures she posted of her spending the night with Usain Bolt student went viral. She is 20-year-old Jady Duarte and she was helping Usain celebrate not only his big Olympic wins, but his 30th birthday, when she decided to take a few pictures. There they are, all blurry-eyed, curled up, cuddling and kissing. Only problem is, Usain reportedly has a long-time girlfriend back home. Jady claims she had no idea who Usain was. She said she was partying with some friends when he spotted her, sent a security guard to call her over and it just took off from there.

Imagine tooting along in your little Mini Cooper, enjoying a beautiful day in the Hamptons. You get a little distracted and you end up smashing into the rear of a Range Rover, only to find out it’s being driven by Leonardo DiCaprio who has his model girlfriend Nina Agdal in the passenger seat! But a witness told “The Post” that Leonardo was a complete gentleman, getting out to check on the woman who hit him and then comforting Nina. An ambulance was sent as a precaution, but nobody was injured. The woman in the Mini was driving about 10mph when she hit Leo’s Range Rover. The SUV had minimal damage but the Mini was so messed up it had to be towed.
