“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice is preparing to turn herself into prison in January to do 15 months for that fraud conviction. But before she goes away, she’s filed a lawsuit against her former bankruptcy attorney. She believes James Kridel mishandled her case, which ultimately led to her conviction. She wants $5 million.

Taylor Swift’s mentor and record executive Scott Borchetta will replace Randy Jackson as the mentor for season 14 of “Amerian Idol,” which returns January 7. The winner of next season will be signed to Scott’s Big Machine Records, which is home to not only Taylor Swift, but also Florida Georgia Line, Rascal Flatts, Tim McGraw, Reba McIntyre, and the Band Perry. You think “Idol” is predicting a country singer winning this thing??

Jimmy Fallon and his wife Nancy Juvonen welcomed a second daughter yesterday, naming her Frances Cole Fallon. Big sister Winnie Rose is 18 months. The couple kept the baby news a secret until she was delivered by a surrogate. Jimmy is taking a couple of days off from the Tonight Show to enjoy the new baby.

Fans waited in the freezing rain for three hours Tuesday night to see Mariah Carey sing in front of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree, and many of them left before she finally showed up after 10pm. NBC was so furious, they told her to forget it. Mariah was supposed to pre-tape “All I Want for Christmas Is You” for the TV broadcast the following night. NBC had a big production planned. They even got permits to shut down traffic on Fifth Avenue so Mariah could arrive in a horse and carriage! But rather than make her 7pm call time, Mariah was holed up in a nearby hotel room on the phone with Nick’s team, arguing over custody of their children, Moroccan and Monroe. When she did show up and NBC told her to forget it, Mariah begged the network to bring the audience back so they could film her performance, but it was too late. They said she’d just have to sing it live the following night.
