Miranda Lambert wins big at the ACM Awards

Weekend box office news… Will Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie adopt again?… Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s marriage trouble… Is Bobbi Kristina awake?… and Miranda Lambert wins big at the ACM Awards

“Furious 7” is number one for a third weekend, taking in another $29.1 million. Despite its 0% rating on RottenTomatoes.com, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2” finished second with $24 million. Coming in third was “Unfriended” with $16 million.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie reportedly hope to adopt another child. A longtime business associate of theirs told Britain’s “Express” that they’re hoping to adopt a girl from Syria by the end of the summer.

More rumblings that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s marriage is in trouble. According to “Page Six,” Amber’s close friendship with a photographer named Io Tillett Wright is causing a lot of drama. It’s sorta Johnny’s fault. He moved the photographer into his guest house but then when Io and Amber started spending too much time together for Johnny’s liking, things got uncomfortable and Io moved out. But this past week, Amber and Io were spotted at a couple of events together looking “cozy” and then he posted a picture of the two of them together on Tumblr captioning it:  “I am so proud of my love Amber Heard…I’m so grateful to call her my family.” And then Friday night, Amber celebrated her 29th birthday with Io, Ashley Olsen and a group of girls….no Johnny in sight.

Bobby Brown was performing in Dallas Saturday night and told the crowd, “I can say today Bobbi is awake. She’s watching me.” Bobbi Kristina has been in a medically induced coma since she was found in a bath tub on January 31, but according to Bobby and his sister, Tina Brown, she is “awake” and has come off her life support machine. Tina wrote on her Facebook page yesterday, “Still a process, but she is going to be ok.” Other than that, no official statement has been released on Bobbi Kristina’s condition.

Miranda Lambert went in with seven nominations and walked away with three ACM Awards last night. She won Song of the Year for “Automatic,” as well as Album of the Year for “Platinum” and Female Vocalist of the Year. Co-host Luke Brian took home Vocal Event of the Year — an award he split with Florida Georgia Line for “This is How We Roll.” Luke also won the big one — Entertainer of the Year. Male Vocalist of the Year went to Jason Aldean. New Artist of the Year went to Cole Swindell, who actually campaigned for it with a cute video so I’m glad that paid off for him. Vocal Duo of the Year went to Florida Georgia Line and Vocal Group of the Year, Little Big Town. Milestone Awards were awarded to George Strait, Reba McEntire, Taylor Swift, Garth Brooks, and Brooks & Dunn.
