Weekend box office news… Adam Sandler has a four-movie deal… Julianne Hough is close to tying the knot… Was Fetty Wap involved in this deli incident?… and TWO One Direction updates!

They tried real hard, but it wasn’t quite Morphin time…“Beauty and the Beast” held onto the number one spot at the box office for a second week, taking in another $88.3 million. “Power Rangers” debuted in second with $40.5 million. Coming in third was “Kong: Skull Island” with $14.4 million. That Ryan Reynolds/Jake Gyllenhaal chemistry didn’t translate in ticket sales. “Life” opened in fourth place with $12.6 million. And “Logan” took in another $10.1 million for fifth. The new “CHIPS” movie, written by/directed by/starring Dax Shepard, tanked. It opened in seventh with $7.6 million.

Netflix loves them some Adam Sandler. They already had a four-movie deal with him. Two of them have already aired. And while “Ridiculous 6” and “The Do-Over” weren’t exactly critical darlings, Netflix says they were still the biggest movie releases they’ve ever had. In fact, before they see how his third and fourth movies do, Netflix has extended their deal with Adam to do four MORE movies! His third installment, “Sandy Wexler,” debuts on April 14. Adam plays a talent manager based on his longtime manager, Sandy Wernick. The cast includes his good buddies Kevin James and Rob Schneider, along with Terry Crews, Jennifer Hudson, Jane Seymour and more.

Julianne Hough has been engaged for almost two years now to this hockey player named Brooks Laich. (Like) They must be getting close to tying the knot because she just had her bachelorette party a couple weeks ago. Julianne says the hardest part is already taken care of — the guest list. But she still hasn’t gotten her wedding dress or booked the entertainment for the reception. And she admits she’s calling in some favors to get who she wants — DJ Kygo. She says she may try to go through Selena Gomez to see if she can pull some strings, but I’m sure it’s just a matter of writing enough zeros on that check. And apparently, something is in the water at “Dancing With the Stars” because fellow judge Carrie Ann Inaba and co-host Erin Andrews are also engaged and planning their weddings.

For whatever reason, Fetty Wap and some of his buddies were at this 24-hour deli in his hometown of Paterson, NJ, at 5:00 in the morning when some sort of argument broke out. Somebody pulled out a gun and shots were fired. Two men were taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injures. A third later took himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound, but it’s not clear if he was involved in this deli incident. According to reports, Fetty wasn’t injured and neither he nor his friends are suspects in the shooting OR in the robbery that apparently took place during this whole incident.

ONE DIRECTION UPDATE: Congratulations to Liam Payne and his girlfriend, Cheryl. After a couple of marriages, she’s just “Cheryl” now, thank you. They are the proud parents of a baby boy who is yet to be named. But the news we’ve all been waiting for has FINALLY arrived! We are days away from hearing Harry Styles’ first solo project! On Saturday, a commercial aired in the U.K. showing Harry walking across a smoke-filled room, opening a door with his tattooed hand, and as the light pours in, we get a close-up shot of Harry’s piercing green eyes followed by the date, April 7! So finally, nine months after he signed his solo deal with Columbia Records, we get to hear Harry all by himself on his first single.

My close friends and family know there are very few times when I'm left speechless… wow! I'm incredibly happy to welcome our new baby boy into the world, it's a moment that I will never forget for the rest of my life and my favourite memory I have so far. I'm completely in awe of his incredible mother and how she has been the whole way through this, she's really made my dreams come true. We haven't named him yet but he's already capturing hearts including mine. I feel very blessed. Happy Mother's Day everyone!
