You ever have one of those days where you did absolutely nothing? That’s what yesterday was like after work. I went to the vet to pick up stretch and they informed me that she had some type of worms so they gave me a white powdery substance in premeasured white baggies so it looked like I was doing a drug deal at the vet. Anyway, $330 later, I took her home where my house was again complete with my two girls, stretch and queso and now I not only give her an insulin shot twice a day, I have to feed her drug habit once more. :) Cant help but smile about my blind diabetic doggie. Ive had her for 13 years.
I sure hope she’s in less pain than I am. I have had a reoccurring back injury for the last 2 months and its killing me. It hurts to stand up. it hurts to sit down. It hurts to lay down…it hurts to walk, it just hurts all the freakin time. Ok, enough about that. i try to not gripe about my little aches and pains... especially when there are kids starving in africa... and speaking of...
Last holiday season, JSI inspired me and I want to follow in his footsteps. He went to the city where he was born, mexico city, and handed out toys to small kids. I wanna go to Africa. Ok, I know I wasn’t actually born there but I want to go and experience first hand what the people there go thru on a daily basis and try to help them. I know several people that have gone. In fact, my sister has gone as well as my son korey and they say its something they will never forget. They said they helped them to plant gardens, helped them to haul water, and just taked to them and got to know several of the people. but i dont want to just stare at them like they are a science project... that helps no one! Korey gave one young kid the shoes off of his feet and said you would have sworn that kid had won the lottery. I just want to go and give some type of helping hand to the people that really need it. Stay tuned as I try to find out how this is done.
Have a great day!
