Tina Simpson is caving in to soon-to-be-ex-hubby Joe Simpson…Anne Hathaway’s Oscar night regret…and Are the Honey Boo Boos on their way to an all new lifestyle?
“Duck Dynasty” was back on A&E for its season 3 premiere Wednesday night, and it set some big records. With 8.6 million watching, this was not only the most-watched “Duck Dynasty” episode ever, it was also the most-watched A&E show ever. Ratings for the season 3 premiere were up by 132 percent over the season 2 premiere. One thing that may have given Wednesday night’s premiere a little boost? Morrissey. He was supposed to perform on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” the night before but canceled at the very last minute when he found out some guys from “Duck Dynasty” were doing the show. Morrissey is a huge animal rights activist and he said he couldn’t be on the same show as people who make products for “animal serial killers,” aka “hunters.” Jimmy said he respects Morrissey’s stance on hunting, but he decided not to dump the Duck Dynasty guys because “they have guns.”
Tina Simpson is caving!! RadarOnline.com is reporting that in an effort to make this divorce from Joe Simpson happen, she’s giving him the financial settlement he wants. That means a 50/50 split of everything under the family name — including half of Tina’s fortune from her fashion line with their daughter, Jessica. A source says even though Joe has nothing to do with the Jessica Simpson Collection, this was the sticking point for Joe. It’s a billion dollar company!!! He wants some!!! So Tina is going to just let him have his way because she’s ready for this to be over. In other Simpson family drama, Ashlee’s ex-husband Pete Wentz reportedly wants to go to court and fight for temporary full custody of their 3-year-old son, Bronx. Pete reportedly is concerned about Ashlee’s partying and how it’s affecting their little boy. He reportedly went to her mom Tina to see if she could intervene. If not, Pete’s ready to fight for custody.
People just love to hate Anne Hathaway, but don’t think it doesn’t bother her. It really does. In fact, a source says she rehearsed and rehearsed her Oscar acceptance speech, trying to sound as genuine as possible. But then she gets up there with that “It came true crap and all bets were off. And now she’s having to apologize for the dress she chose to wear to the Oscars. Anne was all set to wear her custom Valentino — the same designer who created her wedding dress — but then found out that her “Les Mis” co-star Amanda Seyfried was wearing something very similar. Not wanting to clash with Amanda, Anne chose a pale pink Prada that not only washed her out, it had the most awful nipple seams imaginable. So not only did she make many worst-dressed lists, she upset her longtime friend, Valentino. Anne issued a statement saying, “I deeply regret any disappointment caused.”
Mama June might not be the only one dropping some pounds on “Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.” Sugar Bear checked into the hospital with severe chest pains and it turns out he had pancreatitis. So doctors told him if he wants to prevent this from happening again, he has to not only take his medicine but lay off the fried and spicy foods. Mama June says she’s not going to make the rest of the family suffer, though. Sugar Bear will just have to watch everybody else eat fried chicken.
Camille Grammer has told Bravo executives that she won’t be doing “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” reunion. She decided to take a limited role this season and doesn’t think she has anything to offer at the reunion, so why bother. And now Camille says she’s not coming back at all for season four. Adrienne Maloof says she’s thinking about skipping the reunion taping, too, and she might not be coming back next year, either. Over on “The Real Housewives of Orange County,” word is that Tamra Barney is LIVID that Lauri Peterson is coming back. The new season begins on April 1.
