The Academy of Country Music Awards snubs Taylor Swift, DWTS’s Lisa Vanderpump passes out in rehearsals, Jamie Pressly’s assistant has her purse stolen, Chris Brown playing an April Fools joke and Amanda Bynes is still crazy.
Has the tide turned for Taylor Swift? Once again, she showed up for an awards show and walked away empty-handed. This time, it was the Academy of Country Music Awards. Four nominations, but no new trophies to add to her collection. Instead, the night belonged to Miranda Lambert, who won 3 ACM Awards, including her fourth consecutive win for Female Vocalist of the Year. However, she didn’t win the big one. In a big upset, Luke Bryan took the night’s biggest honor — Entertainer of the Year. It was the first time he was ever nominated for this award, which is based on fans’ votes.
Lisa Vanderpump has been cleared by doctors to compete tonight on “Dancing with the Stars.” During rehearsals, the star of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” felt light-headed and fainted. But she and her partner Gleb Savchenko will be ready to compete tonight.
You may know Jaime Pressly from “My Name is Earl” and that Michael Buble video. You may remember Estella Warren from “Planet of the Apes” way back in 2001. No? Anyway, the two of them were at a birthday party at Bootsy Bellows in Hollywood Friday night when things got a little crazy nuts. At a house party earlier that night, Jaime’s assistant noticed her purse was missing. Well, guess who was carrying that purse at the club? Jaime walked up to Estella and accused her of stealing the purse. Estella said, “Nuh-uh! It’s mine!” But then Jaime noticed that her assistant’s things were in the purse, along with some drugs. The drugs, of course, the assistant says were NOT hers. Police were called, but Estella left before they arrived.
Chris Brown was in court on Friday, but unlike his last court appearance, Rihanna wasn’t there to show her support. Perhaps that’s because Chris has been hanging out with a NY waitress named Karizma Ramirez. Reportedly, the two of them met at Finale over Easter weekend and ended up leaving together. Sources say they’ve been hanging out together ever since. In an interview with the “Today” show on April 1, Chris said he and Rihannas were still together. But that WAS April Fool’s Day……….
Page Six is reporting that Amanda Bynes was asked to leave a gymnastics class because she was acting so strangely. Sources say Amanda showed up at Adults Gymnastics at Chelsea Piers wearing fishnets and a leotard that looked more like lingerie. She lined up with the other gymnasts to take turns doing a roll, but when it was her turn, Amanda reportedly walked out on the mat and started spinning in circles while mumbling to herself. Later, when Amanda did a cartwheel, sources say her wig fell off and she sat down and started crying. After a few more incidents of walking in front of others who were trying to their tumbling moves, the staff decided it was too dangerous for her to be there and asked Amanda to leave.
