In movie news, the next “A Quiet Place” spin-off is going to be a prequel. “A Quiet Place: Day One” will show how the aliens made it to earth. Look for it in September 2023. “A Quiet Place – Part III” is expected to be released in 2025. And at CinemaCon yesterday, Tom Cruise revealed the official title of his upcoming “Mission: Impossible” movie. In a video showing Tom standing in the seat of an antique red plane flying above a canyon in South Africa, Tom introduced the trailer for “Mission: Impossible 7 — Dead Reckoning: Part 1.” That one comes out in July 2023, followed by the eighth and final “Mission” movie starring Tom coming in June 2024.

Working with the charity Refugees at Home, Benedict Cumberbatch and his wife will host a family of Ukrainian refugees in their home. The family hasn’t arrived yet, but they have made it out of the Ukraine, and Benedict is able to monitor their journey. Benedict told “Sky News” that the family has to undergo some medical treatment first. But after they’re well enough, he said, “I want to give them some stability after the turmoil that they’ve experienced, and that’s within my home.”

Ant Anstead has filed for full custody of his 2-year-old son Hudson with ex-wife Christina Haack — now Hall — because he believes Christina is a bad mother who is putting their child in danger. A judge denied Ant’s emergency request for full custody, but both sides will meet in court on June 28 to present arguments on whether their current custody arrangements should be changed. Ant and Christina were married for about a year when she suddenly decided she wanted out. They agreed to 50/50 custody of their then infant son, but Ant claims Christina isn’t fulfilling the agreement. Over the last 20 months, Ant claims Christina has only spent “9 full days each month” with Hudson, and basically uses him to make herself look good on social media. He also claims Christina puts their son’s health at risk, pointing out how Hudson came back from a visit with his mom with a sunburn so severe that he was crying in pain. He also claims that back in January, Christina returned Hudson without letting him know that her family had COVID. In court papers, Ant said, “At the time my partner [Renée Zellweger] was filming her new project and her covid diagnosis placed the whole production on pause.” Christina told Page Six, “What Ant is doing deeply saddens me. If this was really about Hudson, as he says, this should have been handled privately with a private judge or mediation, as myself and my attorney have suggested. I have had my share of ups and downs but I am a good mom and I love my children with all my heart and I will always protect them.” Christina has two older children from her first marriage to Tarek el Moussa — 11-year-old Taylor and 6-year-old Brayden. Ant has 18-year-old Amelie and 15-year-old Archie from his previous marriage.

Blac Chyna asked the judge if she could get back up on the witness stand to explain a few things. Her attorney argued that Chyna had been “triggered” by nude photos of herself that were shown during her initial cross-examination and it messed with her head and affected her answers. But the judge said no. Chyna had already testified for 11 hours and had plenty of time to voice her concerns. So that’s it. Testimony is a wrap in Blac Chyna vs. Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kris Jenner and Kylie Jenner. The judge reminded the jury that each defendant in the case needs to be considered separately as to whether or not they had anything to do with Chyna’s reality career coming to an end. The judge also told the jury they need to consider that Chyna may have deliberately hid her finances when she didn’t provide any financial statements, tax returns or other documents related to her income or expenses, despite being given almost six years to do so. Deliberations begin this morning at 9am PT.

Yesterday was a really bad day for Amber Heard. In yesterday’s testimony, we found out that, basically, Amber didn’t really write the Washington Post op-ed piece on domestic violence — the article that triggered Johnny Depp’s lawsuit against her. Basically, the article was written by the ACLU, but they knew that they’d have a better chance of getting it published in mainstream media if they could attach a famous face to it. Enter Amber. She pushed to have details of her marriage in the article, even though her lawyers advised her against it. But even though he wasn’t mentioned by name, everyone knew she was talking about Johnny. Also, Amber insisted they time the article’s release to coincide with the release of “Aquaman,” insuring she’d get maximum publicity. And remember how Amber vowed to give all of her $7M divorce settlement to charity? In fact, she did an interview where she stated that the donations had already been made. She said, “Seven million dollars in total was donated to … I split it between the ACLU and the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles.” And when the interviewer praised her for being so selfless, Amber said, “I wanted nothing.” Well…she lied. In testimony yesterday, we learned that the ACLU credits Amber with contributing $1.3M so far. However! We learned that $100K of that came from Johnny in Amber’s name…and we found out through bank records and emails that Elon Musk made a $500K donation to the ACLU to cover some of Amber’s “overlooked” donation promises. The ACLU said they haven’t gotten another dime from Amber or on behalf of Amber since 2018. In fact, they reached out to her for a payment in 2019, but that’s when they found out she was having some financial issues. A couple of Johnny’s bodyguards testified yesterday. One said he never witnessed any violence, but heard the arguments. Well, it was mostly Amber shouting and screaming. He also testified that he began noticing scratches and bruises and swelling and it began getting more regular. And another security guard testified that he was taking Amber, her sister and a friend to Coachella when he overheard their conversation about “the surprise she left in the boss’ bed.” He testified Amber described it as “a horrible practical joke gone wrong.”
