Weekend box office news… Bobbi Kristina Brown update… Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello’s engagement party… Will Jamie Dornan take it all off for “50 Shades Darker”?… and ‘American Idol’ will end after Season 15
“Avengers: Age of Ultron” is still on top at the box office, taking in another $77.2 million in its second week of release. Reese Witherspoon and Sofia Vergara’s comedy “Hot Pursuit” debuted in second with $13.3 million. “The Age of Adaline” dropped to third with $5.6 million. “Furious 7” came in fourth with $5.3 million and “Paul Blart: Mall Cop 2” rounded out the top five with $5.2 million in its fourth weekend.
Cissy Houston says her granddaughter’s condition has not changed. Bobbi Kristina Brown is still in a medically-induced coma. But her family is considering moving her out of the rehab center and back into her townhouse — the place where she was found unconscious in her bathtub on January 31. A source told RadarOnline.com, “If she’s alive, let her be home and surrounded by beautiful photos of her mom. It’s as good as it gets in such a bad situation.”
Their friend Barry Peele threw Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello an engagement party at the Soho House in LA on Friday. Sofia and Joe have only been together for about 10 months. Joe popped the question in Hawaii after less than 6 months of dating, but when you know, you know! Sofia’s son Manolo posted a picture of Arnold Schwarzenegger toasting the couple at their engagement party, using #TerminatorGaveASpeech. He also wrote, “Congratulations to these two ugly people. It’s so sad, but luckily they have me to aspire to, physically.”
Producers of “50 Shades Darker” are trying to convince Jamie Dornan to take it ALL off for the sequel. “Star” magazine says Jamie refused to do full frontal nudity in the first movie because he didn’t want it to be “gratuitous and ugly and graphic.” But they’re hoping that a $1.5 million bonus will move him to change his mind.
E! News learned this morning that “American Idol” is coming to an end. Season 15 is scheduled to begin in January and that will be all she wrote! According to Fox, Jennifer Lopez, Keith Urban and Harry Connick Jr. will all return. We’re assuming Ryan Seacrest will be there, too. There is no word yet on the number of episodes, but the final 15th season is expected to be cut back. By the way, the winner of Season 14 will be announced Wednesday night. Will it be Clark Beckham, Nick Fradiani or Jax? And do you care?
