Well, I think the time has come for me to part ways with Blake’s winch. For those that don’t have ANY idea what I’m talking about… 4 years ago, I was at the peak of my “Man-Crush” on Blake Shelton. About this time, it seemed like there were a couple of news stories that came out about Blake rescuing people from flood waters. So, in my head, it seemed perfectly logical to buy Blake a winch as a Christmas gift. This way, he could continue rescuing people from any future flooding in Oklahoma. Well, I thought at some point, he MIGHT actually come to my bar to get the winch. Well, he didn’t.

Here we are years later and I am in charge of providing an outdoor stage for my event this Saturday (more on that later) and guess what? The winch on my stage trailer isn’t working. Since Blake has never come to pick up his winch that I bought for him, I’m going to sell his winch (which is too big for my stage trailer), so that I can buy my winch for my trailer. (I bought Blake a really BIG Winch!) So now, I’m guessing, Blake will never get the winch that I bought for him.

Why do I have a stage trailer? Well, I have another side hustle. It’s a Party Trailer business. I have a pizza trailer, a party bar, a BBQ smoker, and yes, the stage trailer. Basically, the party trailer business is able to have an OUTSIDE event, such as a “Pop Up Party” anytime, anywhere. Music, food, drinks, whatever!!! We can do it. Anyway, this weekend, I was put in charge of booking the music for the FIRST ANNUAL “Waxahachie Craft Beer and Music Festival.” The city of Waxahachie was already having a Craft Beer Festival and I was trying to put together a (small) music festival. So I approached the Downtown Merchants Association as well as the Waxahachie Chamber about putting these two ideas together. That’s how I got involved and that’s why I want to make sure this event is a success!

So, I have booked 4 bands and they are using my stage trailer as the centerpiece of the event and at the last event when I used the stage trailer, something happened. The stage stopped working right. Hence, I need a new winch! Like I said, the event is THIS SATURDAY! By the way, if you don’t have anything to do this Saturday, Please come to downtown Waxahachie and check out the event. It’s free to attend and for $30, you can sample lots of beers. And if it’s successful, there WILL be a SECOND annual event. If it isn’t, there probably won’t be another one. At least if there is, they probably won’t let me get involved in the planning. So, PLEASE come support. And someone please buy this winch. It can pull up to 9500lbs. and Its BRAND NEW!
