Saturday was date night and this one was NOT a bumble date. The occasion was Allen’s birthday party (Kellie’s husband). So, I asked a friend to go with me and yes, this one was a date. But the only problem was she lives 40 miles west of my house and the party was 20 miles north of my house. Actually, we have been out a few times before but it’s been over a year since I had even seen her. Mostly because of the distance…

So, I had to figure out how I would make this one happen. I offered to pick her up but she offered to drive since the party was so far. So, the first plan was for her to drive to my house and we would get a car service and ride together from my place. But her actual time in a car would be cut by 20 minutes if we just met at the restaurant so we did. Once we met, I introduced her to the group and we got our evening started. Everything went pretty well as we celebrated and took lots of pics with the party photographer. Then after a couple of hours, we decided to head to my restaurant since she doesn’t get out much. The only problem was it was a 50-minute drive. But what the heck… away we went. I filled up her tank and the drive began. Almost an hour later we were there. We checked out the band for a little bit and by this time, she needed to head home. Another long drive for her. I walked her to her car and that was it. But we did get some quality talking time in during the long car ride.
