I ran into a baseball player tonight but I had no idea… In fact, we had been talking as I waited for my to go food. He’s sitting there having a drink with a friend. So, as I was getting ready to leave, he asked me if I was a baseball fan. I replied with a “Naa, Not really. I’m more of a football and basketball guy. Baseball is a little too slow for me.” That’s when it hit me… This guy is a baseball player and I’m an idiot.

So, I asked…Are you a baseball player? He said yup. I apologized. He was cool about it but I felt so stupid. I asked his name. He said Dan Jennings. He’s the freaking pitcher for the Chicago White Sox. So, shook his hand and left. I left and got about a block away and decided to go back. I walked in and he was still there so I went to the bartender and gave him my credit card and bought the two of them a drink. I told him that was my, “I feel like an idiot drink.” He laughed and offered me tickets and field passes for the game tonight.
