Moving is boring. That’s about the most obvious statement ever. But I will say that 90% of my stuff is packed up and in a box, a bag, or somehow packed up and ready to go. It actually is kind of funny when you see all of your “life” packed up. In fact, I have several boxes and or bags in the back of my truck right now. So, today, my new life in my new place should begin. A new location with new surroundings, new neighbors, new experiences, and new responsibilities. A small yard for Curtis to play in and a whole lot more. I will have to have a house warming party whenever I get furniture for people to sit in.
“They” say the American dream is to own your own business…(and make a living at it.) My daddy did it for most of his life and inspired me to do it. The challenge is to do it WELL! And so, here I am. But don’t get it confused. It is really, really hard. Sure, it’s great being your own boss and hiring people and being in charge. But when things don’t go right, it can be tough. Really Tough. It’s ALL on you…the “OWNER!” But like they say, if it was easy, everyone would do it. So, here I sit. As tough as it is…And I’ve decided to open another restaurant location. This time, I’ve had to start from zero. It has no furniture, no kitchen equipment, No Nothing. And doing it at the same time as I’m moving my residence is more added stress. But, it’s stupid for me to complain about stuff that was my decision to do in the first place. So, I can’t and won’t go there. But, on the flip side, I think this new location is going to be the one that is the most successful out of all 3. It has a great location. Location, Location, Location!!! I will admit that I sometimes make a bad business decision from time to time. But I also know that you will never hit a home run if you don’t swing the bat. You CAN’T be afraid to try, people!!! So, I’m stepping up to the plate and I’m swinging the bat again and I’m aiming for the fences.
