Big Al’s Blog: The Show would go on!

Well, there you have it…another Valentine’s Day is in the books. It was a pretty calm one but here are the Highlights. First thing, I have always been one to try to deliver Valentine’s Day flowers personally. Flower delivery gets so crazy on this one day that I think there is a serious possibility that something can go wrong. So, just to assure myself that nothing is going to go wrong, I do it myself. And it just so happened that the hospital that my girlfriend was working at this month was 30 miles away. Despite the fact that she told me that she didn’t really want any flowers, it looked like she really appreciated the gesture. And considering that I wouldn’t be able to spend the evening with her because she had to work, it made me feel good to see her smile for a few minutes in the middle of the day…and then 36 hours later, she was mad at me again!

A lot of flights were cancelled because of snow and ice in various cities. And these guys were flying in from all over. But after a small delay, everyone made it into town and was accounted for. The Show would go on! And it did. It pretty much went off without any issues. The show did start late so some people were a little upset but the show itself was awesome.

So, it wasn’t a real eventful Valentine’s Day weekend. Better luck next year!
