Big Al’s Blog: Weekend Recap
Big Al’s Blog: Weekend Recap

It was a pretty cool but laid back weekend. Friday, I didn’t do a whole lot. Sure, I sang a little karaoke at my bar but that’s not anything unusual. Saturday, I woke up and hit the gym for the 2nd day in a row and the 3rd day this week. My girlfriend is working at a hospital 30 miles away this month. So, this will be one of those months that I don’t see her as much. I spent most of the rest of the day on Saturday preparing for the Saturday night UFC fight.

How do I prepare for the big fight night? I prepare by taking a Bubble Bath. But since I was out of bubble bath soap, I had to make do with dishwashing soap. Hey, whatever makes the water bubble, right?

I was really excited about the customers would get to see our new 175″ VIDEO Wall in the center of the bar. It’s not just a big screen… Its 8 TVs all next to each other mounted on the wall. They can each show a different channel or they can all combine to make 1 picture, or 2 screens or whatever. Its a real cool thing to have and I’m happy to say that McKinney Avenue Tavern is the only bar in the area that has it.

After that, it was off to the mall to get my Sunday shave at Art of Shaving. Sadly, My “Shaver” is going to be leaving town to become a “reality TV star.” He is going to be on the “Vanilla Ice Project.” That part is the good news. The bad news is that I am going to have to find a new shaver. I’m missing him already!

After that, my next event was a birthday brunch and then bowling with the group. And we finished the day with cigars on the MAT Patio.

Have a great week!
