Blake Thomason Autobiography
I’m Blake Thomason! But you probably already knew that since you’re on this page…
I just wanted to tell you guys a little about myself so we can get to know each other a little better! I was born down in sunny Southern California! It was quite the childhood of running on the beach to riding dirt bikes through the deserts. But it wasn’t until middle school that my family moved to Richland Washington (I know right…. Richland Washington?) where I discovered my two favorite things to do in the world! Basketball and music! I sat down with my friend Mason, who I played basketball with and he taught me a couple things on the guitar. I was immediately hooked!!
I guess you could say things just got better from there! I went from listening to classic rock like Cream and Deep Purple and then made my way through my darker face of listening to some Black Sabbath and Metallica. But then I found my favorite and most influential style….. The Blues! I started to binge out on some Stevie Ray Vaughan, John lee Hooker, and Buddy Guy! It’s crazy how our taste in music can change! If you met me now, you would probably hear me swaying along to some Michael BublĂ© or some Frank Sinatra….. One of my co-workers actually started calling me “Blake Sinatra” HA!
But at the end of the day, it all comes down to two things for me…. And that’s my family and friends! There’s not a THING that I wouldn’t do for either of those two groups of people. And I try to remember that in everything that I do! If I consider you my friend, or a brother or sister, just know that I would do ANYTHING for you! Their happiness is my happiness. So I can’t wait to see where this whole life thing takes me, and hopefully I can make some people happy along the way with my music!
That’s my ultimate goal and I won’t stop until I get there 🙂
