Stephanie Meyer’s new movie didn’t do so hot in its opening weekend, Amanda Bynes hates her Twitter followers, Ryan Gosling almost fights the paparazzi and Justin Bieber doesn’t think he has to follow rules.
You know when those kids found out they got roles in the new Stephanie Meyer’s movie, they could already hear the girls screaming and see the dollar signs dancing! But unfortunately for them, “The Host” is not another “Twilight.” Stephanie’s latest didn’t even debut in the top five, earning just eleven million dollars for sixth place. Coming in first was “G.I. Joe: Retaliation” which opened with $41.2 million. “The Croods” took second with $26.5 million, and Tyler Perry has to be happy that his movie “Tyler Perry’s Temptation: Confessions of a Marriage Counselor” debuted in third with $22.3 million.
Yesterday Amanda Bynes went on a bit of a Twitter rant against an apparent ex. She tweeted, “When you write me on twitter and I ignore you it’s because I plan on ignoring you on twitter and in life forever.” She was tweeting all sorts of bizarre stuff yesterday, including, “If I’m not following you on twitter Quit acting like you know me” and “If you were hot, I’d be so into you. Dedicated to my exes still tryna holla.” Who knows…..”
Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes were in NYC for the premiere of their new movie, “The Place Beyond the Pines” when a fashion photographer — not some random, rude paparazzi — saw the couple at the Bowery Hotel and shouted to Eva, “Hey, baby!” According to Page Six, Ryan completely flipped out and got in this guy’s face, shouting, “Who are you calling ‘baby’?!” But Eva jumped in and explained this man had recently photographed her and that he was a good guy. Ryan calmed down and ended up shaking the guy’s hand.
“Glee” star Cory Monteith voluntarily checked himself into rehab to deal with substance addiction. Even though he plays teenager Finn Hudson on “Glee,” Cory is actually 30. But this isn’t his first trip to rehab. He admitted in a previous interview that he’d entered rehab when he was 19. Cory has been dating his “Glee” co-star Lea Michele for a year. She issued an exclusive statement to “People,” saying, “I love and support Cory and will stand by him through this. I am grateful and proud he made this decision.”
TMZ is reporting that Justin Bieber will likely face criminal battery charges after allegedly spitting on his neighbor and threatening him. Justin reportedly took his Ferrari out at 8am for a little 100 mph spin thru the neighborhood, almost hitting this man’s wife and dog. According to the neighbor, he went over to Justin’s house to confront him about the reckless driving, and Justin threatened to kill him and then spit in his face. To add to the possibility of prosecution, Justin had his monkey confiscated! Justin wanted to take his new pet monkey with him to Germany, but he didn’t have the proper paperwork. So the monkey was put into quarantine, which is where he will stay until Justin is ready to fly back to the US.
