Out of 43 people who’ve admitted themselves to “Celebrity Rehab,” five have died. Most recently, Mindy McCready took her own life with a gunshot to the head, and she’s the third person to die from her season on the show. One celebrity was so troubled by that fact that he took to Twitter. Remember Richard Marx? He tweeted: “I think ‘Dr’ Drew Pinsky should change his name to Kevorkian. Same results.” He later tweeted, “I went too far with the Kevorkian crack. It is, however, my opinion that what Dr. D does is exploitation and his TV track record is not good.” Dr. Drew released a statement saying, in part: “Although I have not treated (Mindy) for few years, I had reached out to her recently upon hearing about the apparent suicide of her boyfriend and father of her younger children. She was devastated. Although she was fearful of stigma and ridicule she agreed with me that she needed to make her health and safety a priority. Unfortunately it seems that Mindy did not sustain her treatment.”
Fergie wanted to share her news with her biggest fans, so she went on Twitter to announce that she’s expecting a baby! She linked an Instagram picture of her and her hubby, Josh Duhamel, as toddlers with the caption, “Josh & Me & BABY makes three!!! #mylovelybabybump” This is the couple’s first child.
It should come as a shock to no one — except maybe Kris Jenner — that her baby girl Khloe Kardashian has been fired as a co-host on “The X Factor.” It’s been decided that Mario Lopez can handle it alone, thank you very much, so they’re not looking for Khloe’s replacement. They are, however, looking for two judges to fill the vacancies left by LA Reid and Britney Spears. And now there’s a rumor that Demi Lovato is rethinking her decision to come back for another season, so Simon Cowell could be looking at a complete show overhaul.
The other guys in One Direction told Harry Styles to keep his cool and not fire back at Taylor Swift after she dissed him with her awkward English accent at the Grammys last week. But finally, somebody asked him the question. During an interview with London’s Capital FM yesterday, the DJ asked Harry how he’s been handling the breakup, and he handled it like a complete gentleman. Didn’t we know he would? Harry said, “I’m okay, thank you for asking.” He then went on to say of Taylor’s performance, “She knows what she’s doing on stage. It was just another good Taylor Swift performance.”
Lil Wayne got up onstage during an All-Star Weekend concert in Houston last night to slam the NBA — especially the Miami Heat. Paraphrasing and bleeping out the more interesting parts, Weezy said that the NBA had banned him from all of their events because the Miami Heat told them to. Allegedly, the ban happened after Lil Wayne made gun gestures at a Heat fan. Then Weezy went off on LeBron James, Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh. And just to stick the knife in a little deeper, he added that he he’d slept with Chris’ wife. And the truth is, he did date Adrienne Williams before she became Mrs. Bosh.
