It was Monsters versus Zombies at the box office…Why Bruce Jenner could take Kris to the cleaners if they ever get divorced…and Kim’s push present from Kanye!
I don’t know what Brad Pitt could’ve done to hype up his movie any more. He was EVERYWHERE. But “World War Z” managed to finish in second place at the box office this weekend. Coming in first was “Monsters University,” which took in $82 million. “World War Z” took in $66 million, making it Brad’s biggest domestic opening ever. “Man of Steel” took third with $41.2 million. “This Is the End” was fourth with $13 million, and rounding out the top five was “Now You See Me,” which added another $7.9 million to its totals.
According to sources, even though they deny their marriage is in trouble, Bruce and Kris Jenner are living apart. If they end up getting a divorce, “In Touch” magazine is reporting that Kris stands to lose a lot. According to California law, whatever assets you bring into a marriage are yours to keep. That means Bruce’s estimated $100 million worth is his alone because he earned most of that before they got married. Kris is estimated to be worth about $80 million, but she earned all of that after she married Bruce, which means he’d be entitled to half!!
A British tabloid reported over the weekend that Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian, giving her a $770K “rare black and tiger-striped diamond ring.” They also reported that the couple are planning to be married in Paris this September. Huh. “People” magazine says even though Kanye does like to spoil Kim with jewelry, there is no engagement ring because he definitely hasn’t popped the question…..at least not yet. By the way, it has been confirmed that the baby girl is named North West and JUST North West. The baby was given no middle name.
Chris Brown is SO done with Rihanna. How done is he? Chris has cut a duet they recorded together for his upcoming album, “X,” which is out on July 16. They recorded “Nobodies Business” for Rihanna’s 2012 album, “Unapologetic,” and they also recorded “Put It Up,” which was meant to go on “X.” But Chris reportedly told label executives that he wouldn’t allow the album to come out if they put the song on there, so they pulled it.
Selena Gomez was in Toronto and was booked to go on the Mad Dog and Maura morning radio show. According to “Star” magazine, the DJs were told that under no circumstances were they to bring up Justin Bieber. Fine. So the interview was being recorded to play later and things were going along pretty well, but — being morning DJs — they couldn’t help themselves. They played a medley of Justin’s worst outbursts and then asked Selena if she wants to get back together with him. Selena reported burst into tears and stormed out of the studio. Her handler then spent about 10 minutes yelling at the show’s producer before Selena marched back into the studio to give them a piece of her mind about hurting peoples’ feelings. The interview never made it on the air.
