Was it the fact that it ran 3 hours and 47 minutes? Was it a lack of enthusiasm over the nominees or Conan O’Brien? Was it the glitchy streaming issues on Hulu? Some people said they couldn’t access their accounts at the start of the show and others said they were kicked out before the last two categories were announced. Whatever the reason, the 97th Academy Awards drew a combined 18.07M viewers across ABC and Hulu Sunday night, a 7% drop from last year’s audience, which hit a 4-year high of 19.5M. Those who did tune in Sunday saw Sean Baker set a record by winning four Oscars in the same night for the same movie. His movie Anora not only took home Best Film, Sean Baker won for Best Director, Best Original Screenplay and Best Editing.

On today’s episode of The Jamie Kern Lima Show, Chelsea Handler reveals that she’s been seeing someone for about 9 months that she’s very attracted to and likes to do certain things with them while undressed. When she was asked if the relationship was serious, Chelsea said she doesn’t think of herself as a “relationship person.” She said, “I think of myself as a purpose person…..All I know is I know what I’m supposed to be doing, and any man that’s in my life is not the main character. That’s a side relationship, and I love them, and I want to respect everybody, but that’s not my main M.O. in life. I’m not that kind of person.” This was a pre-taped episode, but Chelsea was photographed leaving the Vanity Fair Oscars party arm-in-arm with Ralph Fiennes. Ralph was nominated for Best Actor for his role in Conclave but lost to Adrien Brody for his role in The Brutalist.

Sabrina Carpenter got a mix of reactions after opening the Brit Awards, performing her songs Bed Chem and Espresso while wearing sexy red lingerie. Sabrina’s racy performance had UK residents threatening the BBC. According to the network’s own policy, they hold off content unsuitable for younger eyes until after 9pm, and this was WELL before bedtime. Despite the outrage, others were impressed with Sabrina’s creativity. Meantime, Sabrina has resumed her Short n’ Sweet Tour, launching the European leg of the tour on Monday in Dublin. She’s changed up the set list to include some of the new songs that were on the deluxe version of her Short n’ Sweet album, which came out a few weeks ago. If you didn’t get to see Sabrina on tour last year, you’ve got another chance. Last week, she announced 17 more shows in North America for the end of this year. The Cash App Card pre-sale starts today at 10am followed by a Team Sabrina presale at noon, local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday at 10am.

According to TMZ, the anonymous woman who accused Jay-Z and Diddy of assaulting her after the 2000 VMAs is sticking to her story, despite what Jay-Z and his attorneys say. Jay-Z filed a lawsuit against Houston attorney Tony Buzbee claiming the “Jane Doe” who claimed he and Diddy assaulted her after the 2000 VMAs when she was only 13 admitted to making the whole thing up. But according to TMZ, Jane Doe is sticking by her story, and says Jay-Z is trying to bully her into saying she lied. In documents obtained by TMZ, the woman claims she was recently cornered outside her home by two people who told her they were investigators working on behalf of Jay-Z’s lawyer. She claims they tried to get her to sign an affidavit stating that her rape claims against Jay-Z were false, but she refused. The woman claims her parents were also approached by a couple of investigators asking similar questions, and now her question is….how did these people find out my identity and where I live when I am supposed to be anonymous??
