Dancing with the Stars elimination, award snatching reporter facing 6 months in jail, Tyrese hates on fat people, Selena Gomez performance criticized and Billy Ray Cyrus goes on Nightline. Kellie Rasberry has all the gossip in today’s Showbiz Top 5.

SPOILER ALERT: My mama was convinced Andy Dick would be the one to go, but on last night’s “Dancing with the Stars,” it was D.L. Hughley who was dismissed from the dance floor. D. L. says the only thing he’ll miss is his dance partner, Cheryl Burke.
Remember that Ukranian reporter who tried to kiss Will Smith on the red carpet and then rushed onstage when Adele was accepting her Grammy only to be shooed away by Jennifer Lopez? He is now facing jail time for that Grammy stunt! Vitalii Sediuk has been charged with entering a performance area and interfering with performers. Who knew those were crimes?? I guess in Hollywood they are. And now Sediuk faces six months in jail and a $1000 fine for each count.
Tyrese Gibson is having to back-peddle a bit for some comments he made during a recent interview with AllHipHop.com. Tyrese was asked if he felt any responsibility to inspire people to live healthier lifestyles? Tyrese said, “No two situations are the same. If you are fat and nasty and you don’t like the way you look, do something about it. It’s simple.” Tyrese was hit with an angry backlash on Twitter, so he took to his own account to apologize….but not really. He said, “I’m not apologizing for what I said. I’m apologizing for the bad choice of wording and execution of my point around obesity.”
Selena Gomez is being criticized for her performance on the MTV Movie Awards, but probably not for what you think. American Hindu leaders are demanding she apologize for wearing a bindi on her forehead during her performance, calling it “insensitive” and “not meant to be thrown around loosely for seductive effects or as a fashion accessory aiming at mercantile greed.” No comment so far from Selena.
Billy Ray Cyrus on “Nightline” sounds like the punchline to a joke, but it’s not. Billy Ray was promoting his new book on the show last night, and OF COURSE the reporter had to ask if his daughter Miley‘s wedding to Liam Hemsworth is still on. Billy Ray answered, “I don’t know. I know as I was writing a book, I wanted to keep that particular moment as open-ended as possible. I didn’t know the answer.” But Billy Ray added, “They’re young! They’re kids! The great news is, they’re great friends….I know whatever’s meant to be, that’s the way it’s going to happen.” Sounds like the wedding’s off to me!
