There’s something for everyone with new movies hitting the big screen this weekend: Killing Them Softly, The Collection, Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning and Silent Night.

Killing Them Softly

Brad Pitt plays a mob enforcer hired to track down three guys who rob a card games being run by Ray Liotta. Richard Jenkins is the guy who hires Brad, and James Gandolfini plays another hitman Brad brings in to help do the job.

The Collection

A horror movie from the writers of the last four “Saw” movies. It’s about a serial killer who “collects” humans by first massacring a room full of people, then capturing the sole survivor and taking them to a booby-trapped house. Josh Stewart is the only guy to ever escape . . . he played Bane’s right-hand man in “The Dark Knight Rises”. And he’s forced by the father of the latest victim to lead a team of mercenaries into the killer’s lair to rescue her.

  The Collection got 62% on Rotten Tomatoes

Universal Soldier: Day of Reckoning

Jean Claude Van Damme and Dolph Lundgren are both back for the fourth “Universal Soldier” movie. It stars a guy named Scott Adkins as a soldier who blames Van Damme for the deaths of his wife and kids.

  Universal Soldier got 61% on Rotten Tomatoes

Silent Night

This killer Santa flick stars Malcolm McDowell as the town sheriff and “Sin City’s” Jamie King as his sexy deputy. It’ll hit a few theaters on November 30th, with a DVD and Blu-ray release following on December 4th.
