Box office weekend news… One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder have broken up… Chris Brown is officially off probation… Scott Disick is “doing well” in rehab… and Rob Kardashian’s disturbing Instagram post about Kim
As expected, “Insurgent” was number one at the box office this weekend, taking in and estimated $54 million its opening weekend. Last week’s number one, “Cinderella,” dropped to second with $34.5 million. “Run All Night” was third with just over $5.1 million, and Sean Penn’s “The Gunman” opened with a disappointing $5 million for a fourth place finish.
They were introduced by Harry Styles more than 3 years ago and it looked like they might go the distance, but One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson and Eleanor Calder have broken up. It actually happened a couple weeks ago but they didn’t want to make a formal announcement until it had some time to sink in. One of Louis’ friends told “People” magazine that he’s “really upset about it all.” The source said, “They tried really hard to make it work but it was just impossible. He’s away for nine months a year and they just grew apart.”
It’s been over six years, but Chris Brown is officially off probation for assaulting Rihanna. The judge overseeing Chris’ case made the decision at a hearing on Friday, ruling that Chris had finally satisfied the conditions of his sentence and closing the assault case against him. Chris immediately tweeted afterward, “IM OFF PROBATION!!!!!!!! Thank the Lord!!!!!!”
Kourtney Kardashian was hosting a party at a Vegas club over the weekend. She told “People” that Scott Disick is “doing well” in rehab, “learning so much about himself and growing, and so that’s really amazing to see.” She said, “When he’s working on himself it only betters our relationship.” Scott checked into the Rythmia Life Advancement Center in Costa Rica one week ago today. RadarOnline.com is reporting that Scott actually signed a deal to get paid for his stay, but is only obligated to stay on the premises for one week. And they say now that he’s met his obligations to get his paycheck, Scott will be checking out today.
So last week, Kim Kardashian posted a picture of her celebrating her brother Rob’s birthday many years ago, captioning it, “Happy Birthday to my one and only brother Robbie!!!! I remember this Vegas party of yours like it was yesterday! I love you so much and can’t wait to share so many more memories with you!!!!” Rob didn’t respond until yesterday. First, he deleted all of his previous Instagram posts and then he posted just one picture for his 2.7 million followers — the blood-covered, murderer Amy Dunne from “Gone Girl.” He captioned it, “This is my sister kim, the b—tch from Gone Girl,,,” He still hasn’t taken it down.
