Tom Arnold killed it at Roseanne Barr’s Comedy Central roast the other night, but Page Six is reporting that he almost refused to do it. At first, producers approached with the idea of having him come out on stage dressed as a waiter, serve Roseanne a drink and then just walk off. Tom said, “Uh, no. That’s not going to happen.” They threw a bunch of other ideas at him, but Tom kept saying no. He would only agree to roast Roseanne IF she promised not to bad-mouth him. In fact, Tom insisted that she say something nice about him! So Roseanne personally called Tom to let him know that she really wanted him to be there and promised that he wasn’t being set up, so he finally agreed. And Roseanne did end up saying something nice….sort of. She said, “If I can bury my roiling, boiling ceaseless hatred for the likes of Tom Arnold, maybe there’s a chance we can have world peace.”
How do you get Victoria Beckham to agree to reunite with the Spice Girls? Tell her you’ll just do it without her. For the past year and a half, the producer for the Olympics closing ceremony has been working on getting the Spice Girls back together. But Victoria Beckham kept saying she was too busy with her fashion line and her four kids to even think about it. So finally, he and the other Spices said FINE! We’ll just do it without you. And that’s when Victoria had a change of heart.
Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson not only got dropped from the Dolphins, he got dropped by VH1. Cameras were rolling when Chad and Evelyn Lozada got married last month and VH1 followed them on their honeymoon to St. Martin. But in light of his arrest for head-butting his wife, VH1 has decided to drop “Ev & Ocho” from their schedule. No word yet on whether or not Evelyn plans on dropping Ocho, too.
Taylor Swift is loving her some Camelot!! She spent another weekend at the Kennedy compound in Hyannis Port with her new boyfriend, Conor Kennedy. In fact, she’s so in love with all things Kennedy that Taylor reportedly bought a 7-bedroom waterfront estate right across the street from Ethel Kennedy’s house in Cape Cod for $4.9 million. But Taylor actually got a sweet deal on this place. The house was listed for $13.5 million in 2010 and the price had been cut several times before Taylor snatched it up for less than $5 million. The rumor is, Taylor got such a good deal because she paid for it IN CASH!!!! Taylor also owns homes in Nashville and Beverly Hills.
If you were hoping for some earth-shattering, breath-taking revelations from Robert Pattinson’s first interview post-Kristen Stewart scandal, you were sorely disappointed. Robert was on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” last night to promote his new movie, “Cosmopolis,” and Jon was pretty gentle with him. He brought out a couple of pints of Ben & Jerry’s and Jon said they were “just two gals” talking about the breakup over ice cream. Jon said when young people go through a breakup it sometimes feels like the end of the world and Rob kinda sorta agreed with him on that….But neither one of them directly addressed the cheating scandal and then they just talked about the movie…….Maybe George Stephanopolous will get more out of him on “Good Morning America” tomorrow.
